But we all know that the problems on the Pistons had nothing to do with Rip -- a leader and team first guy... they were all John Kuester's fault, right?
Yes -- dissension is expected when a coach fails to properly hand out roles to his team, chops and changes his lineups, and, wrongly utilizes his players.

That is an unhappy environment. Problems were always going to happen.

Just wanted to say that win or lose, thank you to Who for putting together a tremendous team and for being one of the classiest guys here. We didn't have much debate and very few people actually bothered looking in on our series thread but, it was fun.

Thanks Who and TP2U.

True... Kuester was a poor coach who did a bad job, but my point was that Hamilton ALSO had problems with Curry.

At some point ya have to look in the mirror and take some responsibility yourself, don't you...?

Instead of being a leader on a young team being mismanaged by a weak coach, Hamilton chose to be petulant, leading a player-boycott, trying to undermine his coach from early in the season, etc.

Curry lied to his team and specifically to Iverson + Rip on multiple occasions about how they would be used.

Another coach who brought dissension onto himself.

West

Kings - Sacramento win in 4 or 5 games.
Jazz - 7 game thriller, goes down to the wire, Utah inch it out.

East

Sixers - Sixers put on a show defensively and win in 5 or 6 games
Pacers - Indy's bigs lead them to victory in 6

Really?  You think there's a good chance Dirk would get swept?

Yes, I think there is a very good chance that Dirk gets swept.

The Warriors have nowhere near enough defense to stop LeBron James. He is going to tear them apart. Their interior defense is too soft. He'll cut right through them.

mgent, you've been very vocal of your dislike for the Pacers throughout this game (the only one I've particularly noticed), so your vote does not surprise me, but I didn't see you make any comments in the matchup thread.  Do you care to give your reasons for why you think NYK will beat the Pacers and give me a fighting chance to change your mind?  :)  Or care to take a gander of the matchup thread (its only 2 pages) and bring some discussion into there of why you think we'll lose?  Perhaps reading it will sway you or maybe I can respond to an opinion of yours that might.

My picks. I just sent them in.

West:
Kings - LBJ is too great for Dirk this time as pressure is not great enough for LeBron to Choke.
Jazz - Pierce, Experience, and Swagger are the difference as Portland is still a year away.

East:
Sixers - Too much Wade in this series.
Pacers - Size matters and the Pacer Bigs are too much for TD, as Parker holds own V D-Will
