I'm going to relinquish my voting control to Action781 for the West. Leaving for vacation through sunday and won't be able to hear out all arguments.

Seventy-Sixers - duh
Pacers - not as big of a fan as everybody else, but the Celts just aren't good enough
Knicks - Nets have the best player but Knicks have the better starting 5 and bench
Bulls - I love the Bullets but Chicago is my team, I voted them 1st in conference

RND 1 of West Conf.

The winners I voted for are:

Kings- no need to explain...just a better team

Memphis- VERY underrated around here! rose, ray, prince is an awesome backcourt/wing combo. throw in spot up shooters korver and redd to compliment rose's penetration and it makes the bench a big threat. also like hibbert/hawes center depth.

Utah- while i think memphis is underrated, i think utah is a little overrated here.  they are very good, but not a major threat, imo (i had them as a 4 seed in my first vote). edge goes to utah in this round as they are deeper and have more weapons than denver, imo

Spurs- i like the amare/bogut combo but i think boozer/kamen combo is solid. throw in the westbook advantage and the versatility of affalo, hill, and VC and i think they win series

Who, you truly are a gentleman.  I don't know if this game has ever seen a GM vote against his own team in the playoffs. Your integrity admirable.

How do the knicks have a better starting 5 than the Nets? How is their bench better?

Williams adv Knicks Conley
Meeks Adv Nets Hamilton
Deng Adv Nets Durant
Gibson Adv Nets Scola
Duncan only slightly better than Perk at this point

Looks like 3 in my favor to 1/2 in the Knicks favor

Bench:

DoolingAdv Nets Irving and Farmar
Nick Young Adv Nets Cj Miles Rudy Fernandez
Blair Adv Nets  Gooden Charlie V
Tauriaf Adv Nets Anthony

Explain why you see it different then that?

I am with you on the PG battle but why do you think you have an advantage at the other bench positions?

Well at SG because Nick Young is just going to ball hog the ball, and CJ Miles and Rudy Fernandes both have playoff experience.

Blair is undersized compared to gooden and charlie V who can both score and are vets.

Taurif and anthony is probably a wash since they both dont do much but Anthony does block shots thus giving me a slight edge i think.

I agree with PG, SG, and C

I think Blair is better than Gooden or Charlie V though

The Kings Western Conference Ballot:

Sacramento - der...you expected something different. Kings in 5.

Portland - just too much inside power for San Antonio to cope with. A high scoring series but Portland in 6.

Utah - in a very tight and exciting series the Jazz overcome a late series push by the Nuggets and KG and Pierce's championship star caliber cause them to refuse to lose a game 7

Memphis - Rose and Ray go OFF and overcome Dirk's tremendous series. Griz in 6.

It's more like:

Williams/Conley  big adv Knicks
Young/Hamilton  even
Deng/Durant  adv Nets
Gibson/Scola  adv Net
Duncan/Perk  adv Knicks

On the bench Blair is better than Villanueva and Turiaf is slightly better than Anthony but the rest could be argued either way.

I'm glad you're giving action all the responsibility of being out of the playoffs, that shows very good leadership skills.

Riah that's some tricky math you're using there  ;D

c'mon people how can the Nets win when their GM can't add right  ;D (you know i'm just fooling around here Riah.... TP)

I of course see things differently:

Wiliams > Conley
N.Young/Meeks > Rip & Rudy
Deng > Durant
Gibson/Blair > Scola
Durant > Perkins, Anthony

NY Bench > NJ Bench

I think that's 1,000,000 for New York and -30 for Nets.

Feel free to check my math though  :-\

Kings ballot for the Eastern Conference went

Nets - in seven in a whale of a series that got TNT gigantic rating in the metro NY area. Durant goes off for 45 in MSG in game 7 and Nets get the upset.

how is it that every season i have the team i the "7-game series + 3OTs"?!?! Unbelievalbe.

2 years ago we were one of 2 teams that had to go to a second full-vote and i think then only b/c there was like a tie breaker.  :-*

If folks want to vote the Nets to win, fine, but Durant is not gonna go into MSG and with a team with Deron Williams, Luol Deng and Tim Duncan and win a game 7... that just won't happen.
