2011 CB draft: How does my team look?/division rankings

Here's my opinion on the rankings. I am still attempting to get a hold of Rondo to put in a combined Kings ballot and will be waiting until nearly the deadline to submit if I do not hear from him:

East:

9. Boston

The man starting Wes Matthews is putting my player evaluations at 9th.

Some teams look like they might not be regular season beasts, but could be playoff monsters.

Chicago comes to mind. So does Philly

Really? Figured Philly would be either 1 or 2 out of the East.

I actually don't think they'll do that well in the regular season. Smells like a 4 seed that no 1 seed wants to see in the second round.

That PF spot is so injury ridden that there's no way they win a lot of games in the regular season.

How so?  West isn't injury-prone.  Neither is Bonner or Splitter.  Kenyon is a backup.  Varejao can play PF.  Brad Miller, who most likely won't even see minutes, was a solid backup for 60 games last year.

In his 7 seasons, west had had two years in which injury kept him under 60 games and this past year he had a season ending injury before the playoffs.

Actually you're right about the seasons it is 8. However, in 04/05 he played 30 games and in 06-07 he played 52.

Actually you're right about the seasons it is 8. However, in 04/05 he played 30 games and in 06-07 he played 52.

But for the other 6 he played more than 70.  Not injury-prone.

And he'll have the entire season to return to pre-injury form.  Between the quality and depth I've got in my bigs, I really don't see an issue.

I don't quite get the David West concern.  Yes, it was an injury, but it was a clean tear with no further ligament / nerve damage.  Those are the types of injuries that guys make full recoveries from all the time.  West has been mostly healthy, especially in recent years.  I don't see him as a huge concern going forward.  He might be rusty in the early going, but by the time the playoffs roll around, he'll be back at 100% strength, I have no doubt.

The following guys missed 17+ games (20%+ of the season) last year:

West's other injuries were in 2005 and 2007, though.  I mean, is Amare particularly injury prone?  He's missed 27+ games three times.

Last year Yao Ming was the starting center for a second seed team and Greg Oden started for a successful Knicks team that made the postseason without a press conference.

I hated both decisions. But I've since made my peace that injuies are the least managable aspect of CB voting.
