Question: does anyone think that any team (aside from my own, which is infinitly better) has the tools to beat the kings in a 7 game series?
No......The Kings have quite possibly the best starting five in the CB Draft over the last three years and at leat two bench players that are current quality NBA starters and other players that are very good to excellent role players high quality NBA teams.

Kings will take this.

You've got a good team, no question. You're wrong, but you've got a good team. You should pat yourself on the back and enjoy a nice old scotch with my blessing.

Haha the Queens are so good, they don't need a bench. Just a bunch of un-used picks.

The Nets will finish with the worst record and the Celtics will end up with the 4th pick.

Don't under-estimate youth ... the Samurai have the hottest, most talented young team in the league. What we lack in defense, is more than made up for in speed, scoring, and passing.

Ok, so the Cavaliers have a center now. There are you happy?

PG Ricky Rubio/ Aaron Brooks/ Eric Bledsoe
SG J.J. Redick/ Josh Howard/ Jordan Crawford
SF Danilo Gallinari/ Reggie Williams/ Dahntay Jones
PF Blake Griffin/ Ekpe Udoh/ Trevor Booker
C Pau Gasol/ Timofey Mozgov

Question, could I start a mended Josh Howard? 62 playoff games and when he was last healthy he averaged 18 points on 45% shooting, 5.1 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 1.1 steals as a plus defender.

Heck even in an injury plagued 2009-10 Howard was good for 12.7 points, 3.6 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 26 minutes. Although his offensive efficiency has suffered markedly.

If Josh Howard could play at a starters minutes I'd say roll the dice with him at the 3. Use Gallo like I'm using d Williams. Helps your defense and you've got scoring covered in the other 4 positions

And BDiddy is usually good to miss 15 games a year, so Jamal Crawford as a back up point and really your only option there worries me.

Last year, the title winning Phoenix Suns had Rudy Fernandez as Baron's only back up?

This team's starting line up isn't as good.

I really think this is counter productive. Who cares about that now? Another team can't start Ersan Ilyasova at the 4 this year  just bc I did last year and expEct the same success. There was a year in there that changed oPinion.

And you can't just point tO last years results and look for vindication of anything. Roy Hobbs won 2 yrs ago w an old, unathletic squad full of players who were no longer serviceable. That led to some wariness on the part of votes last yEar. In the same way, teams are going to be wary of superstar-heavy squads without depth, because of last year.

Yes, and no. I didn't have a traditional point guard backing up Baron Davis, but I did have pretty capable ball handlers in Rudy Fernandez, Terrence Williams and Hedo Turkoglu coming off my bench. The idea was to have Hedo Turkoglu initiate the offense for the 8-13 minutes we were w/o Baron.

It didn't hurt that we all had spent the summer talking ourselves into the idea of Rudy Fernandez running point for the Celtics  ;)

Should my team be starting Courtney Lee or Ariza?

I like that Courtney Lee stretches the defense with his shooting, but I also like the idea of having the length at the wing Ariza and Gay could give my team.

No doubt about it, Roy? Two 6'8 athletic wing defenders doesn't offset Ariza's "offensive skillset"?
