2011 CB draft: How does my team look?/division rankings

Still debating whether to have George Hill come off the bench as the 6th man.

I'd like to see you add some defense at the 3 spot, and move Wright to the bench.

Yeah.  Replace Wright in the starting lineup with somebody like...  Grant Hill.

Don't sweat it, SO, they just can't find anything to pick apart on that team.   

I know it's been mentioned, but owners need to discuss other people's teams to keep this thread worthwhile for all.  Until this post, I have responded 30 times in this thread, with only 1 of those posts even mentioning my team, and 1 other post being some nonsense about Salvadorean beer.  Some posters here are just putting up their team every time they draft a new player or make a trade.  You really should follow that general rule that every time you so much as comment on your own team, comment on a different owner's team at least once.  People are doing you favors by putting careful thought into advice for your team, so do likewise for them.

I don't think your team is separated from the pack, a good collection of talent but I'm not sure if a somewhat upgraded Grizzilies roster is the stuff of a champion.

That's kind of my thought, as well.  Very talented, and I like the majority of the individual pieces.  However, a very similar team (although not quite as good as thing one) was an 8th seed in a watered down 30 team NBA.  I don't think an upgraded version of that team would be a contender in a 24 team contracted CB-NBA.

Good team, though, and very entertaining to watch.

Very Strong Squad. I like how we match up. It be interesting.

Chuck Hayes is a player I love and is a solid addition to the Grizzlies three man 4/5 rotation. His defense and underrated passing are both key. (Memphis is going to need Gasol and Hayes to keep the ball moving.) Paul George is also a great second week pick up, could and should beat Courtney Lee out at some point during the season for the starting spot.

The team's size is intimidating, and Grizz should be solid defensively and plenty aggressive offensively. Though I'd prefer a second three point shooter in the starting line up. Team's will be able to pack the paint, heck will have to. And I'm another GM that hates the Artest pick. At this point he's a low-reward high-risk addition, ring or no, who's not likely to quietly come off the bench. And why add another ball stopper behind Rudy Gay? Memphis may have some chemistry concerns; who's the coach?

Obviously, I disagree.

I think the difference between Parker, Lee/George and Rudy is significantly better than Conley Jr., TA/Mayo and Battier.

That Memphis team almost to the WCF without Rudy Gay. TP is better then Mike Conley. I think if you compare his players against the rest of the team's players. There are few lineups that can match up. He has the advantage most of the time against other starting lineups because of matchups. Few teams have a quality PG, SF, PF, and C to go up against this unit. He has a top 6 or 7 guy at all those positions. I honestly don't see another team that you can say is definitively better then the Pacers. They gotta be #1 as of now. They need to strengthen their bench though.

I don't think the new Grizz are as imposing size wise. Chuck Hayes is a solid player, but he's smaller and more of an undersized C than anything where as ________ is a PF.

Pretty solid squad.

In the Eastern Conference (which is clearly inferior to the West in the CBNBA this season), its definitely one of the contenders to take that conference crown.

I don't think they were ever a title threat.

Besides other than Tony Parker over Conley I don't think the rest of the roster is all that upgraded. Different players, but not necessarily much better players.

Initially, I did it before we had Artest, and thought that it'd make more sense to have him come off the bench because he could play 2 positions (the 2 and the 3).

I haven't reconsidered since, but I think I'd stay the same. Lee is a .400 shooter from distance and I think he could be getting a lot of open looks.

To expand on that I think the fake Grizzlies might end up being a different sort of defensive team than the real life ones. Their back court isn't the same aggressive type of defenders that Tony Allen/Conley are/were.

And the Grizzlies absolutely lived off of turnovers this past year. I can't decide if the new incarnation is better, worse, or the same defensively.
