I concur. I think Jamison-Brand are going to struggle with any tandem w/ height and/or speed.

Yeah, I rank them at the bottom of the Central Division PF/C tandems.

As far as your guards running by John Wall. That's not happening Deron scores because he's big and strong for a pg not because he has elite quickness.
Z-Bo/Gasol, Josh Smith/Okafor, and Haslem/Noah are all faster/quicker, stronger, and better defensively.

Faster/Quicker? No way.
Josh Smith is one of the best athletes at the 4 position. He is certainly faster than Jamison. Even if they are of similar speeds, Jamison hasn't even played much defense and he's not about to start now.

Elton Brand is slowed down by his walker so most centers are faster than him.

My bad, misread your statement. I thought we were talking amare/bogut
Oh, well in that case I agree with you.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon

Preach!

I'd say hands down best frontcourt in the league, and with Williams on board now, and Amar'e's ability to switch over (he was a 2nd team All-NBA center last year, NBD.), the versatility we have with the bigs is currently unmatched.

I'm not gonna waste your time selling Lowry right now. I'm not going to, because I will later. But I will.

Conversely, you're going to have a hard time convincing me that Amare Stoudemire and an undersized rookie could be a competent defensive front court.
They wouldn't be, but they'd dunk and get the line an awful lot. It'd be an offensive line up to be sure.

I think the two combined would be a net loss though. They'd be the team with all the highlights that lost by 12.

Yeah, whenever you guys are ready to do the adoration of my team, i'm ready.

Lowry/?/Derek Williams/Amar'e Stoudemire/Andrew Bogut

I'm pretty surprised no ones mentioned this team as one of the better teams out there, maybe if you had a Wilson Chandler type on your team people would be talking about it more.

haha.

Honestly though - and I'm sure this'll be met with a lot of 'my team says hello' messages - I don't see why people aren't rating this team higher. That's a dominant front court that's going to create a lot of trouble.

Against most teams these 2 are going to create a significant point advantage that's going to be hard to make up in the other three positions.

In terms of why some aren't super-high on IP's team:

Amare is perceived as a selfish player who doesn't play defense and doesn't rebound much anymore;

Bogut is always injured, and lacks a refined offensive game;

Williams is unproven, is a rookie, doesn't have a clear position, etc.;

Lowry is largely unproven.

It's a good team, but if people aren't falling all over the team, I understand.

I'M THE SILVERBACK GORILLA IN THIS MOTHER——— AND DON'T NONE OF YA'LL EVER FORGET IT!@ 34 minutes

I'd like your team more with a true 3 and Williams coming off the bench as a super-sub 3/4. Great core though, plenty of time to address things as the draft goes on.

But that's just one little bear's opinion.

I also think Williams would be best suited as a 6th man 3/4 playing 30 min per game (15 or so with the starters, and 15 or so at the 4 while Amare moves to the 5 when Bogut sits).

I hope you bring your elbow pads, knee pads, and helmets for when Pawnee comes into town and whichever of the 2 you roll out at PF has to guard Z-Bo (or Gasol).

Amar'e has had a lot of success at the 5 with worse running mates than Williams.

What does it matter if he starts if he's getting 30 minutes a game?

That's what happens when you try to do your job, keep up on the celticsblog draft, and post to your tumblr. I'm incompetent to start, then spreading that three different ways.

I don't think they're a sleeper at all, not with them following the RL mavs blueprint.

  • I left Indiana. Because it was horrible.

team nobody is mentioning:

Champkind's Warriors are solid right now, and nobody is mentioning them. He's got a starting 5 of solid, capable role players highlighted by Nowitzki, Lawson, and Jackson (Jordan being the weak point) and 2 more picks in the 5th round to round out his 7 man rotation. He'll be the deepest team in the league built around a superstar that just leapt from a fan favorite to a world champion. That's gonna be tough to beat.

Thank you sir. Next two picks are gonna be yooooouge. I look forward to trading them away for garbage.
CB Draft Bucks: Chris Paul, Dwight Howard, Tobias Harris, Zach LaVine, Aaron Afflalo, Jeff Green, Donatas Motiejunas, Jarrett Jack, Frank Kaminsky, Lance Stephenson, JaVale McGee, Shane Larkin, Nick Young

DKC Bucks. Also terrible.

I am really liking my team in the SouthEast right now.

Washington Bullets
PF Lamarcus Aldridge
SF Danny Granger
C Marcin Gortat
SG
PG Raymond Felton

And needing to fill probably the deepest position in the NBA.

Huh?

Playoffs 6 out of 8 years, two WCF runs, and helping push a disaster of Knicks team to a .500 club isn't team success?

I know this is the CBDraft where you make your narrative fit your needs but come on, he's been an All-NBA player five different years while playing primarily at the 5.

I wouldn't use it as the primary lineup for a team that I'm building to contend, but that's not what we're talking about.
