I don't think its fair to be citing these PF & C combinations with a complete disregard for the rest of the team's cast.
It's overtly simplifying an argument to prove a point.
If you're talking about my post, I was just responding to the topic. Obviously yours and IP's PFs left something to be desired, but so did Baron Davis, John Salmons, Brandon Jennings, etc.
It's not a complete disregard, it's hard to win with a good frontcourt and a bad backcourt, but it's impossible to win with a good backcourt and a bad frontcourt. If your PF/C have the advantage, your opponent's perimeter players have more to overcome to tilt the odds in their favor. Clearly the better bigs don't win 100% no matter the rest of the roster, but if both rosters are good, history has typically sided with the better size.
