All he did was pick up money and traded a pick this year for a future first and again, that's not what they need. They need vets with talent and came away with Miller(a guy that's old and injured) and money.
To me, trading the 20th pick in a bad draft for a future #1 in a better draft is a sound proposition, regardless of what needs are. Since the Twolves probably couldn't have met their needs this year regardless, getting a future asset is a good move.
The Twolves are no worse in the present, and have a future asset. I don't see why that's a bad thing. I mean, if before this draft Danny had traded the #25 pick for a future #1 and cash, people would be singing his praises. However, since Kahn did the exact same thing, it must be an idiotic move, since Kahn is an idiot.
I absolutely would not be singing his praises. We need help now, not two years from now.
And I don't understand where the magic crystal ball is coming from to know that the 2013 draft is such a good draft. If people are so concerned about the future they could probably convince Donatas to stay in Europe another year. He probably has a buyout or whatnot.
Also they traded a young pg for an old as dirt Center. How is that good?
At the very least then since Flynn was a high pick and he's now being traded away for magic beans we have to admit that even if Kahn isn't making mistakes now, then we know he's made horrid mistakes in the past, so now he makes many trades to compound the mistake.
