Marshon Brooks offensive game is so similar to Reggie Lewis' offensive its not even funny.  [dang] it Danny!  Should have held onto him.  He fell in your lap!

except Lewis was taller, longer, and played great defense.

i think johnson plays right away...no question at all...who out there has any size with bulk? brooks is just a gunner that plays NO defense at all...
He didnt play D at PC because of the coach and his role.  You think Fredette played D at BYU?  Cmon man.  You can teach D. You can't teach god given scoring abilities like Brooks has.

Hollinger also had Brooks as the most overrated player in the draft, for what that's worth.
How accurate has Hollinger's rating system worked in the past?

well, i'd ssay better than average. Ov course, the anti-stat crowd thinks any failure by someone using stats is proof of a flawed system, but people  who don't use stats tend to  really selectively remember their own successes and omit the failures, so i'd say that his rankings are easily more reliable than the overall collective logic of team scouts that end up actually resulting in the real draft order.

Do you have a stat to prove that claim?  ;)
In the summer of 2017, I predicted this team would not win a championship for the next 10 years.

3 down, 7 to go.

I can't believe what Kahn is doing... He SOLD the 31st pick! After moving down from the 20th. I would probably cry if this guy was our GM.

Regarding Johnson, we need bodies right now. No one expected Erden to play last year but he definately contributed... we'll see.
Who did he sell it too?  What a clown!!!!!

Sold it to New Jersey, according to Woj.

Anyone know anything about Johnson though? Hearing lots of conflicting stuff on the kind of player he is. I've heard that he's either a great faceup offensive player and a mediocre defender, but I've also heard that he's a defense-first big. Anyone want to clarify?

harper is a great pick for the cavs right there

so far, I like what Golden State has done (stand pat and ignore trade stuff and pick BPA) and what Cleveland has done (more or less the same, but bc of where they are picking there is more of a high risk, high return feel to what they are doing, and they aren't shy about the high risk).

oh, and I like what Utah is doing.

Please tell me I wasn't the only one to hear that idiot talking about the Heat call them a dynasty???

Ummm don't you have to win at least 2 titles before being a dynasty? Let alone the 0 that the Heat have?

I was just about to write this. What a loser that guy is. Member he was the same guy that tried to justify Lebron's "elbow" injury haha

I don't necessarily understand that Felton / Miller deal for Denver.  Enough teams seemed to like Felton that they could have gotten some actual value for him, rather than a salary dump (or, if they keep him, an aging PG who doesn't want to come off the bench).

Brooks is no better than Von Wafer, and Wafer knows our system already.

He was Big 10 Defensive Player of the Year, I believe, so he plays D.  The question is whether he's wide enough / strong enough to play D at the NBA level.

He played for coaches at PC that didn't stress D which is why their team has stunk for several years.

Put him on a team that expects D and I think you'll see Brooks step up to the challenge.  He may not be a great defender but I think he'll be respectable.
