So easy Tony Allen did last season. Remember this It started last regular meeting between Cavs & Celtics in 2010. TA was talking smack the whole game. However Tony was getting owned by LBJ pretty much the whole game but TA wouldn't let up the trash talking. Eventually LBJ collapsed like he always does in the 4th quarter taking off balance 30footers. The trash talking resumed in the playoffs when the Cavs & Celtics met in the 2nd round 2010. TA literally & figuratively punked Lebron in that series. remember this

In conclusions, punking Lebron is so easy a caveman can do it.

LBJ is ok guy, not a dirty player , not a cheap shot artist like Wade. I think LBJ is trying to play team ball.  At least not yet, he may think he needs to play dirty at some point to win eventually and change as this skills deminish with age. I hope not.

But , I just don't care for Riley and his EAST COAST version on the LA LAKERS.  Pure and Simple. Lets see him do it in Cleveland, NY or New Jersey , or even Chicago. No , he has to always have THE best player or he quits. Why I don't care for Jackson either.

MAvs simply have an overall superior team  by a mile; once you look past the HEAT BIG THREE...well.. that whats left is train wreck. With out the big three on the floor , Heat is nothing.

On he other hand.. Mav's can hold a led or gain with their backups , with Dirk on the bench .

LBJ 's time will come and he will get his ring at some point, but may not be with the HEAT !!  Its probally already too late for him to pass Kobe or MJ in rings .

It won't be any easier next year for the Heat.  OKC, LA will reload, Chicago, Memphis , Portland all tuff.

I personally dont get why everyone hates Lebron.  First off lets be honest about the series, the Mavs could of easily lost this series, so lets not use hyperbole like "punked."  The Heat LOST to a better team and the series was far closer than some wish to acknowledge.

Further, lets not get crazy and just jump on the ESPN/TMZ bandwagon.  There is nothing wrong with LeBron James, nothing that an off season focused on his weaknesses cannot solve.  The Mavs beat the Heat bc of their bench and if the Heat get any help this off season they will be right in the mix to win it next season.  SO lets not shed too many tears for poor ole Lebron James.  Even though ESPN might not like him, he will be back and probably better.

Everyone can get on Lebron about his "decision" idea, that was just stupid.  But to hate Lebron for signing a 15 + million/Year deal to play with his two best friends in Miami, well its just hatin, pure and simple.

Dont fall for Access Hollywood's, umm sorry ESPN's BS, they are just trying to stir it up bc nobody in the US cares about Hockey or Baseball and the NFL, ESPN's true overseers, are trying to figure out how destroy their own product and to throw money into the wind and watch it fly away.

One final note, Lebron was in the finals and lost in game 6, does not sound like the Heat experiment failed to me.

I know how this is going to go over REALLY well on this board, but really, the refs really favored dallas this series. That was a big part of it.

If you mean that Lebron and Wade did not get the calls they got against Boston then I agree; but Dallas did not get bailed out either. The Finals were called even but different than earlier games. This favored Dallas and would have favored the C's have they called the series the same way.

I remember LeBron in transition down 2 with like 5 seconds left and he pulled up for the 3 because he was scared to take it in on Tony.  That was a good game.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

I dunno that i'm that surprised.. i am a bit surprised that he only averaged 17 points a game, but I'm not surprised at all that he was deferring to his teammates.  Isn't this what we expected when he decided to sign on with DWade and Bosh?  He said it himself he "can't do it alone" against the best teams... I know he stepped up big time against the C's and the Bulls, but I was just as surprised to see how easily both teams went down.

To me James is a freak of nature physically. But I'm not sure he's got that same "killer" instinct like Bird, Kobe or Jordan had. I'm also not sold on the fact that he's got as high a basketball IQ as guys like that too.

Could it be that he's not as good as people make him out to be? Or not yet anyway?

I agree with the killer instinct. I think this is the one that made him look like he quit on his team. I am doubting lebrons talent or maybe he plays very good game but dont use his brain to play basketball.

Also, the law of averages played out. LeBron is nowhere near as good a shooter (same with Wade) as he was vs. us and Chicago. Both of those guys shot contested jumpers that they should never make. Both of them missed a lot of the same shots in the Finals (which was expected). The zone defense also helped, but worked largely because LeBron and Wade kept shooting jumpers they thought would go in, even though they should have known better.

Its tough to base comments on stats but watching the games and reviewing the stats, Wade and Lebron shot better than their own normal from outside against Boston, Chicago and into the 4th game of the Dallas series, then they cooled off. Honestly thats what imho really happened. The Celtics, with a healthy JO and Rondo, might have gotten it done but Mia was scoring better than normal from outside

But I think even though some of you have seen the Lebron act for years you just don't get that he clearly shrinks badly in the big spotlight. Its unique so I get why it seems unlikely. But how you aren't fully digesting it I personally don't understand. He is a hot mess when he feels out of rhythm with his team in trouble. That pretty much sums it up.

I agree and don't mean to take anything away from Dallas - but all the ticky tack fouls that we got and Chicago got in there series weren't called in this one.

I also think the Heat well LeBron in particular was mentally and physically fatigued. It finally caught up with them. This is why seedings important if we saw them maybe in the ECF who knows if we get past them. They are too young, athletic and were fresh when we faced them.

Dallas knew Mia would wear down... I think Jason Terry (or Kidd) said something like they are very active on D and they do a LOT of over-helping so it was a matter of time before they were going to wear down. He said it like game 4 I think.
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

Lebron hit crazy 4th qtr shots in that Chi and Bos series. Eventually, he had to cool off. Dallas played him pretty well too, sending multiple defenders once he drove in the paint, and J-Kidd showed why he should've won a DPOY at least once in his career. I dunno if people realize just how special Kidd was on D and faced against a slower player like Lebron (as opposed to lightning quick players like CP3 or Parker), he was able to still shine despite diminished quickness.

Maybe go to the heat forum and post this. Lebrons a choker. Didn't want the ball that whole series in 4th quarters.

Lebron is the most overhyped player of all time.

He's got nothing on Paul Pierce or Dr J or Scottie Pippen or Dominique Wilkins or James Worthy or Bird.

People have GOT to stop thinking of him as great.

I've said it before and I'll say it again.  Vince Carter folks. Vince Carter with 10 times the hype machine.

Stop looking at the stats. Stop looking at the commercials and look at the results. This guy just led a team with Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh to a dominant trouncing and made themselves morons during it.

And I don't want to hear how the players around him are so bad. I know Eddie House isn't bad. Udonis Haslem isn't bad. Mario Chalmers isn't bad. Mike Miller isn't bad. This is just hype and Nike trying to hide the tape to get you to buy shoes
