Yeah, I'm not sure if you watch Coach Nick on his bballbreakdown channel, but he suggested Maynor start at PG while Westbrook starts at SG, since Maynor would distribute the ball more properly than Westbrook does. And if not that, at least have a lineup with Maynor at PG and Westbrook at SG. I guess Scott Brooks elected to go with the former but instead of the latter, just bench Westbrook altogether in the 4th quarter. The supposed 2nd best player on the team?
Clearly, Westbrook has flaws, just like Rondo.
I didn't necessarily say I'd be running in front of the Celtics' front office begging them to get it done, or that the Thunder would necessarily be interested, but that doesn't make trading Rondo for Westbrook not fair value.
At their best, both look unstoppable. At their worst, they risk seeing significant time next to their coaches, but at least sitting down. And is it ad-hominem to point out, KungPoweChicken, that you feel West should start over Rondo?
