With the 5th pick in the 2nd Round of the 2011 CB Historical the Chicago Bulls select:

Jerry West

Shocked he lasted that long, was going to take him but knew he wouldn't last past Nick.

Honestly stuck on this pick as I was sure KG would last to me.

Couldn't pass up having two top 10 players of all-time in my backcourt.

Well having not heard back I'm going to go ahead and make my selection.

Joining 2 time MVP Lebron James is 3 time MVP

C - Moses Malone
I also like the pick, but if Roy's modern rules post is the standard I would have gone another way personally. But Moses was one of two I was guessing you'd go with.
I got hurt last year by not grabbing a big name center, and I wasn't going to do that again.  Besides, I like Moses' MVP seasons a lot, especially 78/79 when he grabbed 7.2 offensive rebounds a game (also a 2nd team all defense).  I may still go with his Title season of 82/83 (when he was 1st team all defense as well as MVP).  Moses also wasn't a guy that demanded the ball as much as a lot of the great centers, so I think he would actually be a great fit with Lebron.
KG was the other guy who I thought you should pair with LeBron.

His more versatile offensive game along with LeBron's ability to play the 4 would have been a killer combo even if you grabbed a traditional center late. Though Moses is certainly of equal stature in my mind.

I was debating which of the two you'd take in my head.
KG was actually the other guys I was considering and I struggled with it for a while, but ultimately felt I could get a PF more easily then a C at a later time.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

Plus with West next to Magic, West can defend any shorter PG's that get drafted while Magic can take the 2 guards, and you still have Magic's passing ability so West can play off the ball and just be the ridiculous scorer/shooter he was.

West was my backup plan in case Hondo went 2.1 (glad he didn't though), nice pick.

Aw Man....I'm just getting light-headed thinking about these two (Skyhook and KG) working together....

KG has made every big man he's had look good (Rasho Nesterovic, Perk, JO, Shaq, etc)....

In his prime, could guard any spot...could PLAY any spot (and did - in Minny).

I know he'd be able to play off of Kareem...no issues, there.

Love the KG pick, especially with Kareem. Wanted him to go with Wilt.

Exactly why I took him, but, let's not forget what a great passer and rebounder for his size The Logo was as well. In his older and wiser days he once averaged 25.8 PPG and 9.7 APG while in his younger days he once averaged 30.8 PPG and 7.9 RPG.

Yup...great player, great pick. 2 for 2 for the Bulldogs.

Now the backlash its that it will be tough to fight this size
against all time bigs
