Thats like saying that if I had a $100,000 to buy either a $400,000 Bentley or a $45,000. Mercedes E-320, I would rather buy a Mercedes. lolol of course I would choose the MB.

He outplayed Rondo in that '09 Celtics-Magic series

Rondo got 14/10/8 in that series. Alston got 10/3/5 and shot 33% from the field.

Yeah you have a point, Rondo played well
And 10/3/5 is a bad stat line? (Not a stat guy btw)

Alston is not a bad player is what I'm saying. Its not a coincidence that once Van Gundy decided to play Jameer Nelson instead of Alston in the Finals, Howard got less looks

this is definitely more realistic (however I'm not sure if the Grizz are looking move him, I mean I am sure they want to re-sign him). I'm for this.

But Marc Gasol is clutch....and a go to scorer...with lots of upside. ;)

  The numbers were points/rebounds/assists

I'm not ready to say I would rather have Marc Gasol than Dwight Howard.  However, Marc Gasol would not be a bad option, IMO.  I believe they are the same age (25?).  Marc Gasol has good stats and I think he will pass Pau as the best player in the Gasol family.  I am not saying Howard is not a team player, but he has been the main option and star...can he  play "Celtics" ball, and share the rock.  Pierce learned to do it under Doc...KG and Ray Allen learned to, to win a championship.  If KG, Paul and Ray are not on the floor with Dwight, will he turn into the hero?  It doesn't seem to work when you have a one man team, no matter how talented.  Other players defer and just stand around.  And as good as Dwight is, he has picked up some very bad habits  (elbows).  It is dirty.  I don't even know if he realizes it, but since Refs have never called him on it he has never broken it.  If he played for the Celtics, how many elbows do you think he would  be allowed before he reached suspension?  Just wondering...

Both options make for good conversation.

TP
Yeah exactly, its good to open the conversation to more options. I never said Gasol > Howard, but I did say that Gasol might be a better fit. And he does have more upside being only in his 4th year. Howard doesn't have that much offensive skill to close out a game

Gasol is bigger and taller than Howard, has more basketball skills, and plays more team ball. Howard's game is not infectious (doesn't get his points within the offense). The rest of his teammates just stand around not involved in the game. And when you play Celtic basketball, team comes first

If Howard comes here, whatever. But I just rather have Gasol on the Celtics

Where's "main" in that sentence?
