This is rediculous lol.  Doc didn't cost us anything, turnovers and poor execution at the end of regulation cost us this game.

Sometimes the simple answers are the right ones.

1. We are too injured.

2. We are old.

3. They are younger.

4. They are playing better.

5. Their important players are all healthy.

My main issue with Doc was that he did not put in Shaq for the last shot in regulation.  He had a team of 5 perimeter players out there.  I understand that they botched the play, but a decoy (or maybe an actual option) under the rim would have helped the cause.

Agreed.

I'm most disappointed in Glen Davis. Not necessarily in him, but in the teams expectations for him to be something he can't be. From the beginning of the season Glen Davis was placed in this huge 6th man role, but he clearly settles for jump shots, he clearly can't box out (despite having a huge body perfect for boxing out).

While I agree with some of this, the point is the Celtics were still in position to win this game and make it 2-2. Rondo hits a lay up. Maybe somebody, anybody sets a pick for Pierce on that last play, Paul desides to get up on James when everyone knows he's about to shoot a 3 because the clock is running out. I could go on, but the point is there was some bad luck, some bad playing (TO's) and some bad coaching that happened.
I agree with previous poster that there was no way Doc should have kept Rondo in the game in the 4th quarter. He was done. Baby played way too much and brought to little. And in spite of all this, with just a little luck it's a tied series.

I'm going with 1/5. If Rondo's healthy we're at 2-2 and the Heat are getting nervous.

We're 2-2 if we can score a bonkin' basket in 19 seconds! Argh! You've done it again! :)

Agree 10000000%

Doc cost us this with horrible rotations. Too many subs in at once and his crush on Davis is indefensible. JO played excellent D this entire series yet he kept him on the bench.

I believe it is up to the coach to integrate the players into the lineup. He didn't do that. Up until this series, I was a strong supporter of his, but he lapsed on some basic elementary things.

Sure the guys could have executed better down the stretch, but he didn't put them in the best position to win. It looked like he panicked this series.

Yup totally
Its funny. The Heat coach who people once thought as incompetent, greatly outcoached Doc

Yes. The Heat coach with 2 of the 5 best players in the NBA outcoached Doc. You are right. Doc is terrible. He was lucky to win the championship in 2008. He did nothing to get that team to play together the way it did.  ::)

I'm not discounting what he did for us, I'm, forever thankful for that. However, he has not done a good job in this series. it's not a 100% his fault, but he shares a very large portion of the blame.

A lot of his bad tendencies have caught up with him.
Back to wanting Joe fired.

I think what many people don't understand is that the coach is the one who decides the teams fortune, plain and simple

Celtics 1-12 (starter to the 12th man) are head over heals better than Heat's 1-12

With an injured Rondo, they were up by double digits till Big Baby came in the game. Went away from exploiting the size advantage

Celtics should not be down 3-1

You left out...

6.  Our coach flat out refuses to play big when Miami goes small.

7.  We've never been able to develop a decent bench because of Doc's favoritism.  I'm not saying that guys like Nenad, Wafer or Murphy would necessarily be the answer to anything, only that Doc never really allowed those guys the chance to play that he's given Baby and Delonte.  There's no way Murphy or Nenad could give this team less than Baby has in this series and I don't think Wafer has made as many bad turnovers all season as Delonte has this series.

TP. Exactly. The coach decides a lot of a team's fate. Doc's rotations and decisions are horrible. Yeah, he costs us many losses this season. It used to be taboo or something to blame Doc. I am glad he is getting his fair share now.

So Minny should stop wasting their time looking for players and just get a better coach? Instant title contenders?
