I never wanted to admit it before. But Doc is the reason Celtics have lost the 2010 and 2011 championship (Yes I'm foreshadowing)
I have absolutely no idea why people would blame Danny for the Celtics losing. Danny put together a great team, 12 deep in my opinion. Versatile in every position, great offensive as well as defensive players. But its the coach who decides how to utilize the talent, and Doc has done a horrible job
I've tried for years to defend Doc. But I won't do it anymore
-Horrible with rotations
-Too loyal to players, even if they are playing bad
-Plays the starters too many minutes
-Doesn't trust his bench
-Doesn't make adjustments throughout the series
Game 7
-Why did he not play the bench in Game 7? He ran the starters to the ground. There was a reason Ray, Paul, and KG all underperformed
-The same bench that won you game 4, and you didn't even put them in? TA, Nate, Marquis, and even Sheldon Williams should have been all on the floor. The scoring drought was because the starters were worn out
Celtics-Heat Series
-Why does he continue to play Big Baby?!. It's that blind loyalty that bugs me. Davis was playing bad the whole series, and he put him in instead of JO or Shaq. Its not a coincidence that once he came in, the Heat had an 11-2 run and retook the lead
Fans wonder why Jeff Green has not shown us much. Its because Big Baby has taken minutes away from him
-I would never get how Doc would not exploit the Celtic's size in this series. Either JO and Shaq shouldn have been on the floor, and they should have pounded the ball inside and draw fouls against the Heat
-There are plenty of players on the bench that Doc just ignores
Von Wafer, Sasha Pavlovic, Kristic, Troy Murphy, and Arroyo all could have made a difference in this series. It makes the lineups too predictable, which makes the Celtics easier to defend
Like one poster said, I think the Celtics big mistake this season was to ask Doc to coach this team again
