I've kinda pelted out these points throughout other threads, so sorry if it's slightly repetitive. But let's do this IN BULLET POINT FASHION!

- I don't understand, even w/ an ailing back, how you could possibly allow Rajon Rondo to sit 6 minutes in the fourth quarter.

- I don't get why they went away from the 1-4 and 1-5 pick and roll when it was so incredibly successful. Consistently getting us good looks, particularily for KG.

- Clearly, the Glen Davis iso project isn't a success. Results are in, we need to burn the testing facility to the ground. Either Doc is calling for that, or, is waaaaaay too late to get in Baby's face to tell him to quit it. Even the and1 he did convert in the 4th was a miserable shot. The most upsetting part is that this came directly after we ran about 15 straight pick and roll plays to success.

- If you're going to green light a controversial trade involving your starting center, don't you want to use the guy you made the trade for? What else did you need to see out of Jeff Green and Baby in order to pump up Green's numbrs a bit? 22 minutes last night despite having the best +/- on the team. Throw him on Joel Anthony on defense if you're concerned.

TP... great way of putting it together. Doc, please stop messing with the rotation. Play real big men!

Yes, Doc AND Danny have done some really questionable things this season & those 2 guys are usually rock solid with their decision making.

Big problem last night: when the game was tied 80, 4 of their next 6 possessions were 2 Big Baby ISO's, a Rondo jumper and a JO FGA

The one criticism I can give Doc last night was when he pulled Green and Delonte with the game tied at 80.

The guys had a good rhythm going and Doc usually lets that ride.

To be fair, though, he was bringing back in Rondo and Ray, so that's not really an unorthodox move to make at that point in the game. In fact, he could have taken a lot heat (no pun intended) if he had left those guys in and we ended up with the same result.

That said, I would have liked to see Green and DWest for another minute there. They were playing well.

Also, is it just me, or does it seem like the Celts are better served with D West on the floor to defend Wade?  Even in the first game, where Allen went off, i thought the only effective defender on Wade was West.  The Celts need to figure out a way to slow Wade down, or slow Lebron down.  I would take my chances with slowing Wade down.  The lineups that the Celts should try, ESPECIALLY when Allen does not have it going are:

- Rondo, Pierce, Green, KG and JO
- Rondo, West, Pierce, KG and JO
- Rondo, West, Pierce, KG and Green

Eh, I thought a lot of Wade's shots were shots that would go in against anyone. You need Ray out there.

Though this lineup does intrigue me. Could Green exploit Wade on the block?

Can't teach an old dog new tricks.

That goes for the entire team, including Doc.  He doesn't want to mess with the rotations now in the post-season.  He had the last 25 games or so to figure out what he wanted to do, and this is what he came up with.

Did it last year. Nate Robinson went from a DNP-CD to a key cog in our run.

this thread is right on track.

biggest issue of the game was CLEARLY the C's inexplicable thirst to feed Baby in an iso-post TIME AFTER TIME in the 4th quarter.

i understand that he has a (successful) track record of helping the team close out games, but i really wish Doc had taken the reigns off Jeff Green and left him get some burn in the 4th quarter.  I was salivating at the idea of KG at the 5 and Green at the 4.  If nothing else at least we would've finally found out if Green was capable of handling a moment like that.

Also the more i watch Delonte the more i want to see him get more minutes.  I'm just thinking out loud here but is it possible to play Rondo at the 2 for a few minutes here and there with delonte running the point?

i know you want rondo controlling the ball but i wonder what would happen if you ran rondo through some of the screens that ray normally runs through - not near the 3-pt line but something just outside the paint.  Sometimes moving without the ball gets you in a better groove; maybe rondo would be comfortable taking a 12 footer in a catch and shoot, plus he would have the ability to catch and drive immediately.  probably not the right time of the year to experiment like that but there just doesn't seem to be anywhere for paul/ray to go with bibby/chalmers standing in the paint, not moving at all, and just clogging up the lane.

Doc doesnt make in game adjustments that actually change the game in our favor.

Doc stubborness to stick to the same rotations no matter what is going on at the moment is what cost us that game. 7:10 the game was tied at 80.

He still played 41 minutes in the game, that's how.

Just because Mr. Triple Double (who?!) said it, it must explain everything.
