The real problem is the way Doc's using Baby. Baby is a role player and really not too bad of one. He would be good on the floor alongside Garnett and Pierce.
The problem is that Doc has been throwing the whole bench out there at the same time: West, Green, Baby, and Krstic along with Ray. Look at that lineup. There is zero interior defensive toughness and not a single player who can create his own shot nor create a shot for anyone else. It is a horrible horrible lineup.
The solution is to mix up the starters and bench. Start going with lineups of:
Rondo/West/Pierce/Baby/Krstic
West/Pierce/Green/KG/Baby or Krstic
Rondo/Allen/Green/Baby/KG
All of those lineups have Baby in them, are big enough to hold it down inside, and also can run efficient offense.
Green, West, Baby, and Krstic are all players who are good at letting the offense come to them. All are players who are not good at creating their own offense. We have 3 players on our team who can either create their own offense or create offense for others: Rondo, Pierce, KG. So, play 1 of them at all times and 2 as much as possible.
