Imagine how good the Thunder would be if they replaced that scrub Perkins with better all-around players like Green and Krstic.

Danny had the right idea asking for Harden.  When the Thunder offered Green back instead, he should have hung up the phone.

Pretty much.

Ha. Well...it is what it is. Perk is on his way to the Western Conference finals and us? Knocked out in 5 games in the 2nd round. SMH.

Geez, hanging your hat on what was the Thunder's 6th or 7th best player today..interesting.

It had nothing to do with Westbrook, Durant, and Harden dominating I'm sure.

yea because memphis is just as good as Miami is and Perk would have put the whole team on his back and rondo with a dislocated elbow and carried them past the heat.....

and we could have had 9 mil tied up in a one way player who has had major injury concerns and looks as slow as a 38 year old shaq, what an awful trade ::)

OKC in the conference finals and Perk's 3rd conference finals appearance...

So, put Green and Krstic back on that team.  Are they as good?

I say no.  There's a reason they were expendable.

You do realize nothing you just said matters right? Because the fact is Perk is on his way to his conference finals and we are not. Period.

Not sure how people can justify judging the degree of effectiveness that Green or Krstic will have so rapidly. Perkins was with this team for 8 years and during his early years he had his own share of problems establishing an identity. Green and Krstic had little to no practice time with the team and as a result they had to improvise along the way during a crucial part of the season. Green went from a starter to a bench player behind the longest tenured Celtic on the team. Why was he expendable? Because he basically played the same position as Kevin Durant, they're both stretch 3s. I think the timing of the trade was the real issue, but let's give it more time before we judge whether or not it was ultimately effective.

yea none of it matters except for the fact that we played a team with 2 of the top 5 players in the league and 3 of the top 30.

Let's just overlook that and keep believing that if Perk was here we would have won the championship no matter what, not even a rondo dislocated elbow and playing at only 60% would have stopped the c's if they had Perkins at center.

Oklahoma beat the # 8 seed, congrats , let me know when they beat a contender and perk dominates on defense

Must suck for Durant and Westbrook and Harden to have to lug a miserable, grunting, used up old slug like Perkins into the semi-finals.

Folks will say anything to defend Ainge.  And I have to wonder, what is this fanatical devotion to Ainge all about?  Is it because he brought us the Big Three?  Because, the way I see it, that was one of his Krazy Gambles that happened to pay off because those three guys MADE IT PAY OFF.

And for those who want to give Ainge credit for bringing us Rondo, why are you so eager to get rid of him for Chris Paul?

I think people are so devoted to  Danny because they have become habituated to worshipping authority figures.  My God, Perkins could average double doubles and they'd find some reason to  offer that as proof that he sucks.
