Excellent quarter from the Bulls...more of the same for one more quarter.

Rose/Bogans/Deng/Boozer/Noah

Deng and Noah are really the only defensive standouts in that lineup.  Thibs is probably the best defensive mind in the league right now

Please put Chris Bosh at center against Joakim Noah and go small.

Miami making life difficult for themselves by playing such limited offensive big men. They are allowing the Bulls defense to setup against them in the halfcourt.

Go small. Please. Bosh at center. Bron at the four. Shooters.

And this board was trying to tell me it's impossible to keep Wade/Bron out of the paint.

Lies.  Our roster was just incapable

I think for the most part the C's did a pretty good job keeping Wade/LeBron out of the paint. They were hitting timely jumpshots though. Bulls have clear advantages against the Heat the C's do not. One being a healthy young frontline.

Anyone else feel like part of the reason Lebron and Wade kept going into god mode against us was because they were both playing with HUGE chips on their shoulders? Neither of them seem nearly as locked in tonight.

Yea. They definitely took the last series personally. They probably don't respect the Bulls like they did Boston. If so that will change after tonight.

Bogans is a very good defender, and Rose is very close to the elite level.  He's always had the tools, but he started to buy in in the second half of last year (and took that to a new level under Thibs).

I disagree on Bogans, I think he is only a mediocre to slightly above average defender.

Derrick Rose is a very strong defender though. One of the most under-rated defenders in the league. Very tough. Strong, quick, good length, contests every shot. Rarely gives up anything easy. Physically overwhelms people.

Look at Chicago's help defense on Bosh pick and rolls when he is at the four. They are all over it. Asik isn't even paying attention to Magloire.

They need to get Magloire off the floor and go small with Bosh at center.

Clear path creates four more points for Chicago.

Its going to take a hell of a meltdown to lose this one now

Chicago is doing everything we didn't do.  They're hitting the offensive boards hard, they're outrebounding Miami, they're scoring inside.  They're protecting the ball and forcing turnovers.  They've also played very unselfish hoop all night.
do it

Question for fellow bloggers:

Any doubt in your mind if the C's were healthy they would have beat Miami? Darn shame.  :-\
