Los Nash will lead the league in assists....Lead the league in stupid comments...And will be watching the playoffs....Because he plays only one end of the court.  20 assists last night and his team lost.

I'm sure Rondo could care less about an assists title.  There's an NBA title out there for him.  Los Nash will never smell one.

Wait a minute, I thought LeBron (aka the Messiah) already won the Stupid Comments title?

A quote he made is so underrated
When they were on their recent 5 game losing streak after they lost to the Blazers, he said something like

"The thing is, even if we lose the rest of the games of the season, we'll still be in the playoffs"

Like ****? Hahaha

lol

Obviously Los Nash's degree wasn't in math.

Lol,

Obviously someone's degree wasn't in reading comprehension.  Seriously, this just shows your just pulling at straws to hate on Nash.  Haters gonna hate.

Yeah..Los Nash chose the NBA in spite of the fact that he would be making $10,000,000+ per season if he'd have chosen to play in the vaunted Canadian Basketball Association.

My mistake.

What does this have to do with anything? Does the NBA not make money off Nash by using his star power to make money?

Also, I love the sheer stupidity that he shouldn't be allowed to make money off his abilities in the NBA because he has made a couple comments criticizing political positions in the US. Like, what?  I would only hope that you agree with everything that America does as a government because under your standards, otherwise you are not allowed to make a living here.

Steve Nash is a very hard worker and a class act.

What's classy about a Canadian who trashes the laws of and the country who made him wealthy beyond imagination?

Are you really bagging on Steve Nash because he speaks out against US laws he doesn't agree with?  Please.

Rondo could learn a lot from Steve Nash.

What exactly could Rondo learn from Los Nash?   How to have a long and lucrative career with little team success beyond the regular season?....No matter how many rosters they build around you?  Los Nash is the common denominator there.  When the playoffs come around, you need to play both ends of the court.  Los Nash doesn't.  Never has.  Los Nash could learn that from Rondo.

Let him have his assists title.  He needs it a lot worse than Rondo.  Rondo has bigger fish to fry.

I think it's perfect that Nash is on a team with Tank Carter since Nash has tanked it on defense his whole career.

Yeah, okay.  So uh, the Suns getting all the way the WCF numerous times with Nash, Amare, and role players has nothing to do with Nash's impact on the game, huh?

Nash didn't build the Suns.  Nobody is saying he is a perfect player, but just because he's not a superstar on both ends doesn't mean we should discount the fact that he is a superstar on one end.  If the right team had been built around him (e.g. one with interior defenders and a coach who valued defense), he could have led a team all the way.  Indeed, if not for some untimely injuries and suspensions, Nash would probably have a ring right now.

I agree with Soap07, your post just sounds plain ignorant.

He also pays taxes here, which entitles him to an opinion. It's not like he's smuggling his millions back over the border in the bottom of a van.

If Los Nash wants to run his mouth about the only place that could have given his family the quality of life it has...Maybe he should apply for citizenshp....Of course if he wanted to...He'd rather go through the same process he's lamenting for breaking our laws to do it.

But then again...With his idiotic views...Maybe he shouldn't.

I don't discount Los Nash's amazing offensive talent.  I also don't buy the what if argument.  He clearly flopped on the Horry hit and pretty much cemented any chance they had at their best opportunity for a championship.

I'd take Rondo if I want to win a championship

You're Canadian, too, and when you sent me those two Celts tees for my boy (which you sent because you wanted to, not because I asked you to), it really showed the world how utterly horrible and terrible Canadians really are  ;)

Finkelskyhook - No politics - Yeah that sounds right. ::)

I find is shocking that a person would defend an "alleged" rapist and Laker more passionately than his own lawyer...but is hating on a very good PG simply because of his views on some laws.

Anyway, I don't want to be a part of such an utterly asinine and irrelevant to the thread debate. So...last post on this subject.

Okay, let's get back on track:

Carrot Cake: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C) and place rack in center of oven. Butter or spray two - 9 x 2 inch (23 x 5 cm) cake pans and line the bottoms of the pans with a circle of parchment paper.

Toast the pecans or walnuts for about 8 minutes or until lightly browned and fragrant. Let cool and then chop coarsely.

Peel and finely grate the carrots. Set aside.

In a separate bowl whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and ground cinnamon. Set aside.

In bowl of electric mixer (or with a hand mixer), beat the eggs until frothy (about 1 minute). Gradually add the sugar and beat until the batter is thick and light colored (about 3 - 4 minutes). Add the oil in a steady stream and then beat in the vanilla extract. Add the flour mixture and beat just until incorporated. With a large rubber spatula fold in the grated carrots and chopped nuts. Evenly divide the batter between the two prepared pans and bake 25 to 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Remove from oven and let cool on a wire rack. After about 5 -10 minutes invert the cakes onto the wire rack, remove the pans and parchment paper, and then cool completely before frosting.

To assemble: place one cake layer, top side down, onto your serving plate. Spread with about one third of the frosting. Gently place the other cake, top of cake facing down, onto the frosting, and spread the rest of the frosting over the top and sides of the cake. If desired, press toasted and finely chopped nuts on the sides of the cake and decorate the top of the cake with marzipan carrots (see below). Cover and refrigerate any leftovers.

Serves 10 - 12.

As the OP, I'm just laughing at how off topic this thread became...simply amazed. Didn't know my topic became a hot-button issue.
