They're showing some life. I don't see a blowout tonight.

Sorry, but krstic is not good on defense -- at all.

That's pretty much my take on it.  He's maybe serviceable man-to-man, but in terms of cutting off penetration, help defense, switches, etc., he pretty much stinks.

When is the last time the Celtics had a lead in the past couple games?

At least they're not down by 30 tonight.

Our inside defense is going to suffer until Shaq and JO come back, which will be the playoffs when the games actually matter.

No point fretting about it now. Gotta deal with it. Only 14 more games.

I guess that is where Shaq supposedly comes into play.  If he is healthy(er) and giving us solid starts and 25-30 solid minutes a game in the playoffs, Krstic goes to a role that is probably better suited for him, coming off the bench for 20-25 and playing against the other team's 2nd unit.  (But certainly doesn't help us with the issues at hand right now.)

So shaq and JO don't need any game time before the playoffs?

Celtics are deeper and more talented then last year.

They have proven that they can play like complete garbage for an entire season and turn it on in the playoffs.

We have a better team this year, no reason to not expect the same.

east is much better though this year

One positive thought on Rondo.  Can you imagine if he started playing like this when the playoffs started? We would be toast in the first round.  You would think just based on statistics he can't possibly be this awful come May.

Nice positive thinking.

That interview they showed earlier was a little concerning, though.  He basically said that between the long year last year, and then being banged up this season, he's got nothing left.  The team needs to give the kid a rest.

Down to eight now...C'mon C's!

I hope Shaq is ready to roll once he gets suited back up....JO too.

Nenad's played admirably to me, but we certainly need The O'Neals back.

If Rondo's spent then could someone tell me Doc's reasoning for not benching him for a few weeks or even the rest of the season? I guess for HCA, but honestly, West looks better than Rondo at this point.

Bench should start the second half.
