Im not advocating changing it forever, I just think that while Rondo is slumping/injured that we need to change the way we are doing things during this time.
If Rondo is playing poorly, why are we staying with the same gameplan? Force the issue and lets get this thing moving in the right direction until Rondo decides to step up or gets rest.
If a shooter is shooting poorly does cutting his shot attempts help him get out of his slump?
I'm all for cutting his minutes since he appears to be worn down physically, but while Rondo is in the game we need to continue to have him handle the ball and try and create. We'll need his offensive prowess to win a title this post-season.
Rondo isnt doing anything positive when handling the ball, and he also isnt creating, so how long are we going to go along with this game plan.
If the plan is to let Rondo walk the ball up the court, wait for 15 seconds then shoot a jump shot, that plan will fail.
We cant let this continue, if Rondo refuses to set up the offense and create, he needs to be benched in favor of a point guard who can actually make the open jumper.
