I know I'm only new to this forum and my opinion may not be respected in comparison to other senior members, but this 'statement' is simply ludacris.

Rondo has been the one most consistent player for us this season and leads the NBA in assists and steals. Now he has one bad game and we should trade him. What is improrant to note is that unlike other sports where the rest between games is normally a week, the NBA at most allows for 2 days and even in these days you're either on the road or training. It doesn't allow you time to yourself to think or reflect on personal matters. Last night he just felt dejected or tired. On top of this he has played huge minutes lately because of all the injuries to West and simpy Bradley isn't good enough.

So much is entrusted on Rondo that at some stage, like last night, the plays he called just didnt work, and he let his head go.

Furthermore, he doesn't shoot so I don't judge him on that. Ray Allen and Pierce are shooting all time highs in FG% and this is all down to Rondo. He is the only PG that can pass near as good as Steve Nash in spot up situations.

Hey, I am a big Celtics fan like everyone else here. BUT, I have no problem saying that Rondo drives me crazy with the way he plays!!

He doesn't take care of the ball and thinks he's alot smarter than he really is.

He played horrible last night...HORRIBLE. So bad that because of him and his 3,000 turnovers, the Celts almost lost to the pis* poor Milwaukee Bucks.

Unexcusable. I also don't have any issue saying that I can think of at least 10 point guards in the NBA I'd rather have than Rondo.

Rondo needs to be the on-court leader, however plays like anything but and his shooting is horrible.

For those who say that I just started this forum as a reaction to last night, think again. I've felt this way about Rondo FOR A LONG TIME!

you're an idiot, i'd love to see what that list looks like.

you should see a doctor about that short term memory problem of yours.

Rondo was great for the first 10 games of the season, but he has been mediocre ever since. The kid just doesn't bring it every night.

I'd really like to know who those 10+ point guards are...please.

Also it seems like for every bad game Rondo has, people seem to magically forget anything else he's done before that. He's going through a bad stretch, but he's been statistcally great all season.

-Derrick Rose
-Chris Paul
-Deron Williams
-Russell Westbrook
-Chauncy Billups
-Raymond Felton
-Devin Harris
-Jason Kidd
-Danny Granger
-Brandon Jennings
-Mike Conely
Are you just seeing if we're paying attention?

Oh by the way...if Rondo is sad about Perk leaving, then send him off to OKC for Westbrook. That way he can be with his buddy.

Can't wait to see the big three try and play with a shoot-first pg who's not a very efficient scorer and who doesn't really tire himself out on defense.

So after those 10 games, did you watch his performances in Cleveland, Chicago, Philly, San Antonio, Charlotte, Orlando, Los Angeles, Golden State, Miami, Utah, ect. or are you just choosing to ignore them?

Just because he put up good stats doesn't mean he had good games.

Yeah, his game against San Antonio was pretty poor overall, and we're lucky to overcome his poor play when we squeak by Miami.

lol what? So what is your basis on who has a good game or not?

Here's some of his stats from the ones I named above:

Cleveland: 23 pts 12 asts 5 rbs  11-17 FG
Philly: 19 pts 14 asts 6 rbs  9-14 FG
San Antonio: 12 pts 23 asts 10 rbs  6-10 FG
Golden State: 19 pts 15 asts 6 rbs 9-12 FG
Los Angeles: 10 pts 16 asts 5 rbs 5-9 FG

I mean, if those aren't good games I'd like to know why you think that.

I'm suppose to take a real Celtics fan serious about his displeasure with Rondo's play recently? Perhaps you would have traded for Bibby, Mo Williams, or Deron Williams, guess their issues weren't worse than Rondo's. Problem is how do you look wanting to trade an all-star. I see, Baby isn't playing, why some of post are being created. You have a right to gripe, but I'll take Rondo and his warts any day. Ya'll can get in the same line with KG's haters...go ahead cut right in complaining about an all-star player.

He doesn't keep care of the ball?? Ok he has the post turnovers per game but he ranks top 5 in turnover/assist ratio, so I have no problem here. Also I can only think of maybe one player that has better handles than him. That being Chris Paul. Mike Krzyzewski even said he was a 'genius' with the ball.

Is there even 10 better all roundplayers in the league??

We need a floor general? Name of better in the league? Name on better since Michael Jordan? There isn't a better player in the league at pushing the ball..

The solution will be arroyo teach rondo how to take care of the ball, and rondo teach arroyo defense.

Carlos is bench guard and Rondo is a starter period that isn't going to change anytime soon either.   Rondo has several new bodies to pass to that he doesn't know real well.  So some of its probably chemistry issues. He also recently had his best buddy traded.  Business or not this can affect your play.  Could be he is bummed out.  He certainly had a bad night but we still won.

He has 191 TO's for the year NOT 3000. 608 assists which yields a 3 to 1 assist to TO ratio. Just for a reference LeBron has 221 TO's to 432 assists for a 2 -1 assist to TO ratio.  Chris Paul has a 4-1 assist ratio with 149 TO's and 627 assists.  Nash has 211 TO's to 658 assists for a 3 -1 assist TO ratio.  So Rondo is up there with Nash but less than Paul.   He compares favorably to the alleged best passing forward in the game presently.

I think he is worth keeping.   Leads the NBA in assists and steals.  Is he perfect?  Heck no he isn't but he is a ton better than Sebastian Telfair and an all star.

NEWSFLASH - The trade deadline is over folks!   I much rather trade gpap for say a heat fan....
