Unexcusable. I also don't have any issue saying that I can think of at least 10 point guards in the NBA I'd rather have than Rondo.

I'd really like to know who those 10+ point guards are...please.

Also it seems like for every bad game Rondo has, people seem to magically forget anything else he's done before that. He's going through a bad stretch, but he's been statistcally great all season.

-Derrick Rose
-Chris Paul
-Deron Williams
-Russell Westbrook
-Chauncy Billups
-Raymond Felton
-Devin Harris
-Jason Kidd
-Danny Granger
-Brandon Jennings
-Mike Conely

This post is the epitome of my biggest pet peeve of arm chair GM's.  He sucks, get rid of him!  If you think he suck, then why should you expect to get someting back that doesn't suck?

That's why DA is a great GM.  You make the diccult decisions and trade high (i.e., Perk).  You wait until you think a player sucks and then go out and try and trade him for something better.

Sorry, I know this isn't a direct response to the original post but this bugs me to no end.

Were you here the year before we won the title? People could easily come up with 20-25 players that were clearly better than Paul Pierce. Same concept. I mean, come on, it's obvious that Danny Granger is a much better pg than Rondo...

Are you just seeing if we're paying attention?

Oh by the way...if Rondo is sad about Perk leaving, then send him off to OKC for Westbrook. That way he can be with his buddy.

I think what you're missing is that Danny Granger is not a point guard, or a guard of any kind.  He also averages like 2 assists a game.  It doesn't give the post much credibility to cite a small forward as "a PG I'd trade Rondo for".

Gotta take the good with the bad. In the past I was a big proponent of trading Rondo. I dont think you can trade him now. As Bahku mentioned he is signed at a bargain price for his production. He also comes up big in the biggest games

"Last year against the Cavs he was the best player on the floor and it wasnt really close (20.7 ppg 11.8apg 6.3 rpg 1.8 spg). The year before he averaged nearly a triple double over 2 series (16.7 ppg 9.8 rpg 9.7 rpg 2.5 spg)" --Greenbean

I think that Rondo is one of the top PG's in the NBA right now and to trade him would be one of the biggest blunders in Celtics history. Rondo is in a unique but difficult situation where he is on a team with 4 HOFers (Shaq, KG, Allen, Pierce) but he is in a difficult situation because they are all older and I am sure I am not the only one who noticed in most games the opposing team will miss, Rondo gets the ball and takes off only to find that the other team is most back on D and his team is miles behind so now he has to wait for them to get up the court before doing anything.

Rondo is a pass first point guard and doesn't take on 3 defenders without help. I think we'll see Rondo grow his game when the Big 3 are gone and he is the main focus. I think of Rondo and I see a little Jason Kidd and he developed a mid range game later in his career.

Tell me about it.  This is why anytime a normal (i.e., fair) trade occurs, fans are often up in arms.  You mean, we had to trade value to get value?!?

If he keeps playing like last night, he won't have a lot of trade value, so I guess we're stuck with him.

Of course, that's not such a bad thing, as Rondo has been one of the league's very best PGs this year.  I agree that he hasn't seemed as focused lately, but I wouldn't be surprised if he's exhausted or has a nagging injury.

I think the first four plus Chauncey are debatable, and I'd add Steve Nash to the debate.  However, Rondo has developed great on-court chemistry with the "big three", he's got amazing court vision, his defense is very good (if not perfect), and he still has a ton of upside.  I'm glad he's a Celtic.

Hey, I am a big Celtics fan like everyone else here. BUT, I have no problem saying that Rondo drives me crazy with the way he plays!!

He doesn't take care of the ball and thinks he's alot smarter than he really is.

He played horrible last night...HORRIBLE. So bad that because of him and his 3,000 turnovers, the Celts almost lost to the pis* poor Milwaukee Bucks.

Unexcusable. I also don't have any issue saying that I can think of at least 10 point guards in the NBA I'd rather have than Rondo.

Rondo needs to be the on-court leader, however plays like anything but and his shooting is horrible.

For those who say that I just started this forum as a reaction to last night, think again. I've felt this way about Rondo FOR A LONG TIME!

Can you post this on espn's NBA messsage board?  I would like to give it the response it deserves.

Mike Conley, thanks.

Rumor has it that Danny was offering Luke, Semih, and a top-55 protected #2.

38 minutes of getting pick and rolled to death gets exhausting for anyone. Let alone game after game.

So let me get this straight, you'd rather have a 37 year old Jason Kidd, Jennings (who by the way is shooting an astounding 37%!!), MIKE CONELY who's averaging about 2 points more a game than Rondo with half of the assists, Danny Granger who's not even a point guard, in fact he's not even a guard...I'm mean there is just so much wrong with this list.
