Way to go Spears!  Better check those sources...

(I really hope Murphy purposely tried to make a mockery of the twitter wars between Yahoo and ESPN, and leaked the false info to yahoo)

Marc Stein just trash talked Spears into a travel.

Post of the week, at least.

TPs all around - good times.  We are now just as deep up front as we were before the trades.

Hope Murphy can make it to Wednesday's game, I'd love to see him take on the Suns.

deeper actually!

More talent, but same number of guys:  Perk + Erden --> Krstic + Murphy.  Not counting Gody.

Erden slipped my mind!  Deeper if you count health I'd say....

Of course if he is doing that, it could mean he is going to Orlando.   :P

i am siding with stein in this one...so one down....now who do they get? brewer? powe? kapono?

:D Are you feeling better now? You were a wreck yesterday. I would love to see them pickup Brewer or Kapono.

Say they get Brewer.

Danny jus turned

Perkins
Nate (not performing well)
Marquis (not playing for the rest of the year)
Semih (injured all year)
Luke (not even close to ready)

into

Jeff Green (versatile 3/4 to spell Pierce and provide offensive flexibility)
Krstic (A healthy big body that can give you some offense)
Troy Murphy (Shooting and rebounding, hopefully)
Corey Brewer (young athletic defender to help against Miami)

That's two rotation players, one of which was injured, the other inneffective most of the season for 4 possible rotation players.

And we can keep Jeff Green next year at a reasonable rate (5 mill vs. the 8+ mill Perk just got).

Brewer gets a tryout for the title of defensive stopper.

If we get brewer now I am on board with calling Ainge a genius again even if he is getting really lucky so far (Murphy could have easily picked the Heat and who thought the Knicks would buyout Brewer).

But what about Pierce + Green + Kristic + Murphy is that greater than Perk + Erden + Pierce + filler for injured Marquis  (Probably Corey Brewer who we may get anyways).

Current roster > old roster. By far

And 2012 is wide open with money to spend on a big free agent or 2 quality starters . Plus a future 1st from the Clippers.

Word to the wise,
Don't go booing Ainge again like you did on Maxwell night.

This is great news. Danny did an amazing job with this one. Getting Murphy, stealing him from Miami/Lebron and beating Riley in negotiation war is like a 3 peat!

Now, lets go win #18!

Very nice addition ... three deep at either big man spot with all of the PFs able to play center. Lots of options.

It'll be interesting to see how much Murphy plays.

Beautiful just beautiful. Troy Murphy is going to be a great fit here! Big man that can stretch the floor and rebound.
