please post any buyouts here

everyone expects Troy Murphy to be bought out but last I checked it wasn't official yet

Rip Hamilton had an opportunity to be bought (after a proposed trade to Cleveland) out but refused - so I think that is out

Peter May mentioned some other usual suspects like Jason Kapono and Morris Peterson but the name he brings up that interests me the most is Samuel Dalembert.

Sounds like Anthony Parker will not be bought out.  Anyone else popping up on the radar?

Leon Powe has been waived by the Cavs and is open to a return to Boston according to Jessica Camerato. He will also consider the Magic and Knicks.

No. Players can sign any time before the playoffs so long as they are bought out prior to March 1.

Dalembert or Camby would be nice for us.  Both are solid defenders.

I would pass on Leon Powe unless we can't get Murphy Camby or Dalembert.

Dalembert and Camby getting buy-outs would be awful news for the Celtics. Let's hope that doesn't happen.

How will Troy Murphy get minutes in a Celtics playoff rotation assuming the O'Neals are healthy? It's good for Boston if he picks them - great depth -, but I suspect he'll sorely regret that decision.

I checked Miami's roster and it's 15 man deep.   I wonder who they would waive in order to bring someone else in.   On that note I wonder how full the other contenders rosters are.  I think Chicago might have 1 roster spot open with their trade with Toronto.

I think it's good news if quality guys gets bought out that we have 3 open roster spots and other contenders (again haven't checked very closely) have minimal space.  

I would take Murphy and either Camby or Dalembert and leave the final spot for a wing or a PG (TJ Ford) whoever is the best available.   Too risky in my mind to take Powe back but I love the guy.

I think Camby, Dalembert, Murphy, and Powe would be the order of my wish list.

Camby can still defend the paint and rebound really well, and is incredibly long, which would help against the LALs, ORL, and MIA.  He can also hit mid-range jumpers and still score a few times a game with his back to the basket, and finishes well on dishes in the lane (Rondo happens to be pretty good at that).
Dalembert is a similar player.  Slightly worse at finishing at the hoop, but can still hit the jumper, a good shot blocker, and an above average rebounder.
After those two, it comes down to the fact that Murphy can score and has a little more size, and Powe has lost a step and was never overly talented to begin with.  I have met Leon and love him, he is a great person, but doesn't bring what we need to help bolster the front line for a run this year.

Thoughts?
