I fear this is gonna be a painful second half.

They had 8 (eight!) turnovers and are still up by four.

...looking bad..  ::)

Actually it was 8 in the second and 12 in the half. Ugly second half on the way for the celts. Pierce has not even been close on a shot,  never mind made any.

  • Our heart will prevail.
Shouldnt the captain know he is off and then try and create for others? And why isn't rondo trying to drive yet again ... he can blow by big z when he wants to down low on a break.

They had two days off , and SHOULD have had some motivation after losing to the rival after having a horrendous second half. I know we are a championship team, but these are the nights we need to play like it. The future isn't guaranteed by any means, so its time to quit making excuses for bad games and start winning them.

NOW.

Rondo has to come out and be a pest get Paul a layup, maybe that will get him going. He needs to eat that PG postion up. It will make a big diffrence I'm telling you.

  • It's not hard to work hard.
Let's take a vote.

Who honestly believes Pierce should be benched the rest of the half?

If you vote 'yes,' please suggest who should take those minutes, and who should guard the most dominant player in the game. Thanks.

If you want to say he's playing bad offense, go ahead. But bench him? Let's be real, here. The Celtics don't even have a backup for Pierce right now.

  • Thank you Eddie!
Pierce so bad. Stop taking threes. Just awful. The captain did all he could to kill this team in the first half. Something I going to happen in the second half today that happened Thursday night. Good effort by everyone but pierce in first half. Awful and stupid basketball by pierce

why not drive? why is he chucking brick after brick? and ray got no shots hardly in the second quarter...just dumb and selfish
Pierce knows that he will never get to the line if he drives to the hoop.  Not when Big Baby James is guarding him.

Also, I've seen very little effort problems. Their energy has been very good all game. That Big Baby steal plus muffed dunk is the story--good effort, just can't get it to go through the hoop.

Pierce's defense on LeBron is huge.

Even if he isn't scoring, he is making a very good contribution with his D.

And where has he had the lanes to drive through? You got to take what the D gives you. Pierce has done well on post-up chances but he cant get by Libby on raw power.

Now we're agreeing AND being rational. TP.

Rondo pretty much passive and absent again. So frustrating. And Hannah storm just says Miami looking to make a statement today. What is the statement?  We can beat a Celtics team with six players? Wish they could trade nate at halftime. He stinks.

I think were all playing BAD aside from Ray, why does KG all of a sudden have no lift?

Pierce looks 60 yrs old again, and Rondo is just standing around he can burn Chalmers off the dribble at will what's going on out there? >:(
