Looks like I may be done with retooling my roster.

PG: Nash/Chalmers
SG: Afflalo/Mayo
SF: Ariza/Casspi/Greene
PF: Nene/Villanueva/Clark
C:  Jordan/McDyess

That's got to be better than the current Suns, yeah?

PG: Nash/Dragic
SG: Carter/Pietrus/Childress
SF: Hill/Dudley
PF: Frye/Warrick
C:  Lopez/Gortat

I feel like the Phoenix offense would need one more shooter then this lineup presents.

Maybe start Charlie V and move DeAndre to the bench? You've got Mayo coming off the bench for some firepower as is, so he and Jordan would be a more natural combo.

EDIT: Regardless, you did a great job Lucky. You improved the teams offense, defense and bench. A couple trades ago I wouldn't have said that.

I'm not a fan of Jordan in general, and certainly not in that starting lineup (he and Nene will jsut clog everything up for Nash), but otherwise, I really like that Roster.  Might not be a contender, but they would be a solid playoff team, and you never know what could happen with Nash there.

Yeah, I agree.  Phoenix did a great job remaking its team through the trades of the last couple of days.

Edgar isn't here to pimp his team, but somebody needs to, right?  The draft just isn't the same without scrolling text.

The NYC MAMOOTHS!
C:  Hibbert / J. Anthony / Pekovic
PF: Amare / Wilcox
SF: Gallinari / Budinger
SG: R. Allen / D. West / Bogans
PG: Udrih / Ridnour

Mike D'Antoni might have to adjust his offense a bit, but that team beats the "real" Knicks.

I like this suggestion, even though I dislike Villanueva. Ariza is an awful spot up shooter and Nene is going to have a career year running the pick and roll with Nash. (The real Nuggets should run far more pick and roll than they do.)

But either way an improvement over the current Suns team, which is a real credit to GM Lucky17 since he had both mediocre draft position and Vince Carter as a second keeper.

Well, that completes Folsom Prison.  Overall, I'm pretty happy with how the team fits together:

C:  Haywood / Hayes
PF: P. Gasol / A. Randolph / Tolliver
SF: Batum / J. Jones
SG: Bryant / B. Rush
PG: Billups / Redick / Watson

All of the starters received votes for the All Defense team last year (along with Chuck Hayes).  There's a nice mix of young and old, athleticism and fundamentals, swagger and steadiness.  I'm also happy with the shooting; five guys shoot over 40% from three, with two others who have hit 40% in the past.

Obviously, it's pretty easy to build a team around Kobe and Gasol, but I do think this is probably the best "fake team" I've put together in terms of actually looking and functioning like a team, rather than as a collection of highly talented individuals.

The 2008 cbnba team not withstanding?

I liked that team a lot, especially having started from a late draft pick.  Let's be honest, though:  a Shaq / JO front line would have gotten killed defensively, and with Bibby guarding the perimeter, that team had some serious defensive flaws.  Offensively, I thought it was a well-designed team, and I still love the depth, but realistically I think a lot of the more athletic teams would have given us fits.

My best team was the Horford / Amare / Gay / Iggy / (Um...  T.J. Ford?) team, but I think there probably would have been some fighting over roles on that squad.  The Folsom Prison team just looks more like a team that would actually play together.

(To distinguish further, my favorite team was from CB Draft '06, which ended up with Duncan and Pau Gasol up front, Marc Gasol and Luis Scola off the bench, and a bunch of other talent like Jose Calderon, Mike Dunleavy, and Andrea Bargnani.  It was definitely "Team Whitewash", but it was a lot of fun to build.)

OK, last pick has been made.  Hit me with those honest opinions.

Draft 2-2011: SA Spur(ned):
PG: Jason Kidd
SG: Manu Ginobili
SF: Al Harrington
PF: Hakim Warrick
C: Tim Duncan

Bench: Richard Hamilton, Chris Kaman,
Brad Miller, Carlos Arroyo, Andres Nocioni, Marquis Daniels, DeSagana Diop

I think the Wizards are a quality team and in a very good to excellent position going forward depending on Greg Oden's health.

However, I can't help but be a bit disappointed because I thought that team was in a very strong position to build a contender this season after Chris Bosh fell to them in the draft.

I thought Bosh and Wall was a heck of a combination to build around. A top five or thereabouts duo and Washington still had very high picks the rest of the way through the draft. I thought there was a real chance for a contender to be made.

So in that sense, I am a bit disappointed in it ... but the team is still a quality side and in a very strong place going forward. One of the best, if not the best, jobs in remaking one's team.

Looking at the current Wiz record and the fact Wall is working through his rookie mistakes, we felt it was better to build a team around pushing for contention next year.  Next year, three main guys in the rotation will be ready.  Oden will be back from injury while Wall and Monroe will have one year of experience under their belts.

Still, we believe that this team is a playoff team this year.  We just were not going to sacrifice the future for a run this year when we know how unlikely it is for a team to win it all with a rookie PG as the 2nd best player.

I thought that was 2008 or are they all just running together?

Overall, this is a strong squad.  The one thing I would have liked to see you draft is a more natural small forward.  I don't like Al Harrington in that role.  You could probably get by with a starting combo of Rip and Manu, but I'd really like to see that traditional 3.

Overall, though, good team.

Ah, you're probably right.  I guess the CrotoNats were, what, '09?  That team was probably overrated; the '08 team was very, very talented.

I actually like this roster.  I don't think they'll win the title starting Hibbert and Udrih but this would be a tough team to face in the playoffs

The Old Bucks:

PG: Brandon Jennings/Kenyon Dooling/Earl Boykins
SG: John Salmons/Carlos Delfino/CDR
SF: Corey Maggette/Luc Richard Mbah A Moute
PF: Ersan Ilyasova/Drew Gooden/Larry Sanders
C: Andrew Bogut/Jon Brockman

New Bucks:

PG: Kyle Lowry/Jerryd Bayless
SG: Landry Fields/Reggie Williams/Deshawn Stevenson
SF: Paul Pierce/Shawne Williams
PF: Serge Ibaka/Drew Gooden/Tyler HansBrough
C: Andrew Bogut/Omer Asik

I definitely think I improved the current Bucks significantly.
I have to admit, other than Bogut and PP, I think every player is pegged a position to high in the rotation.  the other 3 starters should be coming off the bench but I don't see anyone better on the roster to put in their place.
