Wizards are looking very good going forward, if Oden could ever stay on the court they'd be a title contender. Sadly I don't think that'll ever happen.

Whats your plan this year? Let Greg Oden rest, and give Monroe/Wall lots of time en route to a lottery pick? Get the growing pains out of the way?

Also, this season would be a great time to figure out just how talented a scorer James Harden really is.

I think with Bosh on the team they'd be in the playoffs.

might be. I don't think Bosh is that good as a primary player, and with starting one of Kris Humpries/Greg Monroe next to him, that interior defense is going to be pretty shaky. Also, the only time a Bosh team has ever gone to the playoffs has been when the Eastern conference hit all time lows in terms of overall competitiveness. In a league with a lot more parity (which you get from this draft), I don't think they'd make the playoffs, unless one of the youngins really blossomed.

He got the Raptors to the playoffs two years with considerably less talent around him. They also likely would have made it last year if he hadn't broken his face and then decided to just wait it out till he could bolt.

I will say that prior to this year, I think Wall is better than anybody that Bosh ever played with.  Im not sure if this team makes the playoffs this year because they are so young, but they do have some very very promising pieces that if they mesh could be like the Thunder currently

Yeah but he got them there in two of the worst seasons the East has ever had in terms of competitiveness, and did so with barely .500 records. This season those Raptors wouldn't sniff the playoffs.

I think the team has a crap ton of potential, but this season to make the playoffs they'd need Wall to be consistent, they'd need Harden to score more, they'd need Jeff Green to score more and be more consistent, they'd need Chris Bosh to be a leader, and they'd need Greg Monroe to "get it" and anchor the defense down low.

I just don't see that as a possibility. I think though that a team can accept being mediocre in the short term if they're looking at possible titles in the long term.

Oden is out for the year.  Nothing you can do about that.

Good year to build chemistry and see how well the pieces fit.

I figure that there is going to be a lot of pick and roll plays with Wall and Bosh offensively.

This team is playing to win, but with a rookie PG and rookie start C right now, TheWiz are looking low playoff team with an eye to the future.

If Oden is cappable of staying healthy, TheWiz has it's three stars.

I think the Wizards would be best off starting Humphries alongside Bosh and bringing Greg Monroe off the bench. Play with quickness on both ends of the court. Run and gun style with Wall pushing the tempo non-stop.

Quality wise, I think that is likely a 45-48 win team. The high end (46-49) of that if the bench is filled out very well and towards the low end if not (43-46).

Considering the craptacular 76ers, Pistons, and Bobcats are fighting for the last slot they'd be in it.
