Phoenix Suns

PG: Nash
SG: Carter
SF: Artest
PF/C: Hickson
C: Bargnani

SG/SF: Casspi
PF/C: Haslem
PF/C: McDyess

Obviously, I need to address my backcourt in these next couple rounds.

I like the flexibility of my frontcourt corps, however. Lots of different looks I can throw at opposing teams. Good spacing, with toughness and rebounding off the bench.

I also like the wings. A good blend of defense and offense. All three can rebound and shoot the three.
Artest hasn't rebounded this year.

I like your squad offensively (tops in the league potential), but defensively its still a nightmare overall.

Hmmm. And I thought my Suns were better defensively than the NBA version.
Gortat compared to Bargs is a big difference defensively.

True.

But Hickson, Bargs, Haslem, McDyess vs. Frye, Lopez, Gortat, and Warrick? That's what I was looking at.

Ditto for the wings.

If you're playing Hickson/Bargs starters minutes I don't think you'll improve defensively.

Plus Casspi/Artest/VC isn't better than VC/Hill/etc. Artest has been playing really poorly this year. I'd imagine getting to play on offense would help him focus but I wouldn't count on it.

Golden State demands some attention. Sure we've been awful since our title in 1975 minus the RUN TMC Years and the 07 play-offs but hey we're not the fat kid sitting in the corner eating doughnuts.

Golden State

Ellis
Salmons
Miles
Lee
Dalambert

Bench: Collison, Neal, Hawes
I don't like CJ Miles at SF, he doesn't have the size or strength for it.

I'm also not a fan of Salmons/Ellis playing together. Both of them like to hold onto the ball a lot, Ellis would work better with someone who's better contributing without the ball.

I do like Lee/Dalambert/Collison, I'm not sure how well Neal would do on this team. I'm not sure he can contribute much in a system that is much less structured than the Spurs.

Dalambert is much more likely to pout?

I like this roster, especially with Aldridge, but I wonder if Aldridge can really step up and put this team on his shoulders. He is showing he can at this point in the season, but can he be the long term leader?

Yeah, this looks like with the right coach could be a 6th or 7th seed without much hope of getting better than that.  They have a strong defensive core, and some guys who can score, but Aldridge is a second option at best, and the other guys are all 4th or 5th options ideally.

I think its better than a 6th or 7th seed.  Great defensive core with balanced scoring options. I really like this team

I agree they may land higher than a 6 seed. A solid start to the bench is what does it for me, but we'll have to see how the bench rounds out. They need a good point guard to come in and replace Mo. If Mo gets hurt, that could be a sudden, rapid fall for this team.
