PG: Calderon
Wings: Deng Gay
PF: Bass
Center: Gasol

Bench: Lee , McGee

We're already better than the Grizz, because we have a bench.

You'll be able to score a lot but not defend much. I think you'll take a beating on the boards too.

Nice supporting cast but I think you're one stud player away from really contending.  Rose can't do it alone and I don't think Boozer's the main talent that team needs to contend with Rose.

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
Kyle Lowry
Landry Fields/Reggie Williams
Paul Pierce/Reggie Williams
Serge Ibaka/Drew Gooden
Andrew Bogut/Drew Gooden

Last Pick Thoughts: I wanted to add an established post presence that could play the 4 or 5, and could score and rebound. Gooden brings that, and also can defend when his heart is in it.

I stand by it.  you're basing your response on anomolies.  Ray doesn't make many blocks.  Amare can rebound but Hibbert isn't a big rebounder for a starting center.  Gallo's not exactly a consistent rebounding machine either.

Gallinari's minutes this season have overwhelmingly come from the PF slot, alongside Amare as C. That's where his rebounds have come from. Move him to the SF, away from the rim, and those numbers go down.

If you are committed to a Gallinari-Amare SF/PF combo, contrary to the PF/C combo they have been playing at this season, then I could consolidate whatever expendable assets you have to upgrading the PG position, or at C.

I'd also have West back up both the PG and SG slots. This would allow you to trade one of your PGs for a rebounding big, or a slashing wing for your bench for some lineup flexibility. Udrih and Ridnour are both good enough to start, but having one only play 15 minutes a night is a bit of a waste, I think.

Having a young talent like McGee off the bench is truly a luxury.

Does Lee make either Gay or Deng expendable?

I wonder if a package of McGee, one of the Gay/Deng duo, and Calderon could land you an elite PG and bench help.

I never say i am done

AS pointed before Gallo is effective in both
and Amare is abusing slow and soft centers but he as PF is still gold if you have a towert next to him.
Delonte will play backup pg minutes
probably a pg should go but i am still not sure about it
There will be one SF waiting to come to NY and give us SF PF flexibility to swith with gallo and Amare

The combination of Deng + Gay on the wing is this team's greatest strength. Particularly on the defensive end of the floor.

I would be very reluctant to break that up.

I remain unconvinced that Gay can guard opposing SGs.

Especially the likes of Ray Allen, Rip Hamilton, and others for whom opposing offenses run multiple screens.
