PG: Nash
SG: Carter
SF: Casspi
PF: Hickson
C:  Bargnani

With the exception of Hickson, my starting five all have range out to 3-point land.

Not a defensive-oriented team, by any stretch, I will concede. But the team can run. Nash is the QB and soul of the team.

Better than the current Suns? I think so.

JaVale McGee is a sticking point for me. I struggle with the idea of him at the four and what he is able to contribute. My expectations for him there are pretty low.

I think that would be a good team with a true PF with quickness who plays above average defense. Say a Serge Ibaka type. I think that starting five (with Ibaka in McGee's place) could be the core to a 47-50 win team. A strong bench and it could be a 50+ win team.

You need to fill out your bench before I can say whether or not they're better.

I think this is likely to be the worst defensive team in the league.

Offensively, they are going to be incredibly difficult to defend against. With Nash at the point controlling everything, Bargnani spreading the floor, Hickson rolling to the rim in lots of room with no other Phoenix players in the paint around him and two very good perimeter shooters on the wings who can handle the ball and drive some.

A definite top five offense and possibly the most efficient offense in the league.

Better than the current Suns? I think so.
At the moment, I would say the changes have been a lateral move.

Lose some defense, gain some offense ... overall fairly similar.

The bench could be a separating factor.

Yeah, I felt I had to punt on fielding a two-way team. I just want to outgun the opponent.

Oh, the new look Wizards are definitely an improvement.

definitely needs a PG but a good young team.  some beef upfront with a nasty rebounder

Clearly needs a PG.  A strong passing PG could help that offense go.

Not bad.  I see playoffs as a strong possibility.

Need a more offensive PF and let McGee be the third big man in the rotation.

You better hope that Grant Hill is the guy that can get Blatche to listen, otherwise your team will under-perform itself out of the playoffs.

Not so sure.  I think the current Suns team could be better once Gortat is the starter.

With that said, you did a good job finding players that fit Nash's style.

I say better than the current suns as far as a starting lineup goes.  I think there is potential to assemble a bench that makes the team overall better than current suns.

A lot of talent here.  I really can't imagine all these players co-existing though.  Too many shots needed.  Those 5 players combine for 54 fga per game this season.  Normally, decreasing a players fga is a good thing, as it leads to more efficient shot selection.  But Jackson and Blatche are two guys who will take their shots and not think twice, so the decrease in fga are going to come from your more efficient players.

I think the team is looking to be headed towards offense and defense both being around the middle of the pack efficiency wise.

So, a decent team, probably bubble playoff team depending on how other teams look.  It's a team I compare very strongly to the current Memphis Grizzlies.  Loads of talent, something wrong with the overall efficiency though having them fall short in the W column.
