Absolutely not.
The Pat's D line was in miserable shape, and the Jets exploited it. Nothing less, nothing more.
Brady's pick was about as poorly timed as possible, even tho the D held up, it was a 7 point swing. If the Jets get down 10, I think the Pats go into cruise control. Instead the Jets are down three.
The Pat's D is still young, I expect improvement every year for the next three years with this crew. The main question is can they snag some D-Line guys and keep Wilfork elite level.
It might have been better to have more 4-3 ready against the Jets at some point in that game - especially given the extra week to prepare and the lack of personnel at NT/DE for the 3-4.
All the being said Sanchez played a great game and Brady just played very good. The fact that Brady's game is considered bad is a a testament to how good he is and the fact that Sanchez's great game probably swung the outcome is why you keep Brady: he's more likely to produce those QB winning games than anyone else in the league.
