Rondo ends the game on a perfect note. Another stellar effort from Nate, 1-7, with baby 6-14.

Neither Nate nor Glen is meant to be playing in as large a role as they are currently playing.  Nate should thrive in a 15 minute energizer role, and Glen should thrive in a 20-25 minute sixth man role.

In other words, we desperately need Delonte and KG back.  Once we have those two players back, Nate and BBD should be able to settle down and play well within their ideal roles again.

We need to forget about Shaq playing well except occasionally for the rest of the regular season and hope he is rested and healthy enough to turn it on in the playoffs (kind of like Sheed).  Just be thankful Shaq doesn't jack threes.
I'm hopeful that Perkins coming back will allow them to rest Shaq more.

Hopefully.  I think we need to temper our expectations for what we'll get out of Perk, though.  We need to remember that he hasn't played any real 5 on 5 basketball, let alone NBA-level basketball, in months.

If Perk can get double digit rebounds and a block, I'll be tickled.

I think more like 6-8 pts and 6-8 rebounds with a block or two is more reasonable.  He'll probably play 20-25 minutes a game for quite some time.  Maybe closer to 25-30 in the playoffs.

He won't play enough minutes to get double digit rebounds, but if he can take some minutes from BBD it'd be huge for our rebounding.

It's important to remember, too, that there is probably no player more important to our success than KG.  Rondo makes our offense go, but KG makes our defense go - this team wins on defense.

Until KG is back and playing at the top of his game, we should expect some disappointing performances against sub-par teams.

I hate all the chucking and bricking that BBD is bringing to the table, but Rondo is setting him up for failure half the time, by not getting the offense into it's set sooner. After the clock winds down to about 6 seconds or less, Rondo tries to hurry up and pitch the ball to someone, and a lot of times it ends up being BBD. I firmly believe that BBD's high amount of shot attempts is partly him and partly Rondo.

C's should have won this game by double digits regardless if KG played. These guys just love playing down to the competition. These games will cost them late in the year.

That was a horrible loss. No Ming, Martin, Hayes or Miller!? :o

7 Rockets players in double digits.

Same old problems - too many shots for some players and not enough for others, out-rebounded of course, not exploiting the opponents' match up weaknesses.

Gotta get it together guys!

What was Shaq's numbers vs this small team?  :'(
10 points and two rebounds, he still doesn't look very good. At least compared to early in the year.

Yeah, I knew his numbers. I said it facetiously. My point was he shot 100%. Nobody on this team was going to stop him.

Also that's 100% from the line... yet, he get's 3 shots (5 counting the two fouls). Shaq not playing like he did to start the season, true... but when you don't give him but a couple shots he can't do much... now rb, well he just stinks lately... but I have noticed when Shaq gets his chance on offense he becomes better (motivated) on the defensive end, rebounding too! A lot of people play better when they feel involved... but it seems to be more so in Shaq's case.

Side note: I miss KG!

For the 1028383828 time why doesn't Rondo take it to the hoop to score?

Rondo had his worst game of the year.  Some really awful passes.

He can't shoot free throws, he's not 100% healthy...driving to the rim and drawing contact isn't something he's keen on doing.

Plus, have you seen how he blatantly passes up fast break layups so he can get an assist?  Rondo is in all-out assist mode, he's not looking to score himself unless it's the last option.

Rondo is not a great scorer, but he's too talented to be our 5th option.  Rondo needs to pass up some of those looks he's giving Glen Davis and try to score himself.
