For the 1028383828 time why doesn't Rondo take it to the hoop to score?

Jesus Christ.

Rondo had his worst game of the year.  Some really awful passes.
I wouldn't disagree, but seriously what in the heck is going on? Nobody can stay in front of Rondo --  as proven in the final minutes he took it to the rim and scored repeatedly.

Does Doc not tell him or tell HIM NOT TO be aggressive and score? you know to hell with that jumper if you can't even finish at the rim.

He can't shoot free throws, he's not 100% healthy...driving to the rim and drawing contact isn't something he's keen on doing.

Plus, have you seen how he blatantly passes up fast break layups so he can get an assist?  Rondo is in all-out assist mode, he's not looking to score himself unless it's the last option.

Rondo is not a great scorer, but he's too talented to be our 5th option.  Rondo needs to pass up some of those looks he's giving Glen Davis and try to score himself.

I really like Rondo, and always thought that wasn't true about his assists but he proved me wrong against the bulls when he stopped the fast break to pass it to ray so he could lay it in.

That stat number seems to mean more to him than the ultimate number ( 18 ) ... this REALLY could come back to hurt us, since rondo should be trying to get comfortable with his jumpers and driving AGAINST bad teams.

As much as i hate to say it, im starting to get worried ...

Watching for the first time, (although I already know the outcome) ... the first quarter just finished with a sweet finger-roll by Rondo, but I'm not impressed with our defense so far, especially the perimeter.

The second quarter was a little better defensively, but we still seem out of sorts, and a bit confused on offense. Strange lack of energy in the building, too, and it seems like it's affecting the team. A couple of great hustle plays by BBD and Von, but Glen's taking too many jumpers, when Ray and Paul should be getting the ball, (more shots taken by Davis in the first half, than by Paul and Ray combined).

Looking at the final stats ... the Rockets made twice as many tres as we did, everything else was almost even. We're doing a very poor job of defending the perimeter of late, and it's all about making the extra effort.

One of the bright spots for me in recent games, is the play of Marquis Daniels ... he's playing with more confidence, more aggressiveness going to the basket, moving better off-the-ball to find his spots, improving consistently, and looking much more comfortable with the plays within Doc's system, especially on defense ... really like what I'm seeing from him.

Wow ... Houston can't miss right now ... they've timed their hot streak very well in this one.  :P

Well I thought the January blues wouldn' bug us this year but I was wrong. Another loss in a game that should have been (more or less) easy. Frustrating to blow our lead in the standings like that, Miami is now right up there with us.

Man ... some sloppy play and turnovers when least needed them ... some poor shot-selection as well.

Despite Houston being absolutely on fire, we still should/could have won this game ... this hurts, especially at home.

One of these officials, who I'm not familiar with, looks to be in his mid-twenties at best ... really bad backourt decision here, that could have seriously affected the outcome. Hmmm. :P

Well, this one hurt, mainly because it was at home, but also because Houston is a team we should not have much trouble with. Yes, they were shooting well and we're short-handed, but we still have much more defensively that what we showed tonight.

I think, for whatever reasons, there's been too much of an offensive mind-set lately, (most likely because of KG's absence), and we need to get back to what we do best, concentrating on defense, and letting the offense develop from that ... whether KG's playing or not.

i missed the game for various reasons, but looking at the box score and reading the recap on yahoo, i bet it was really frustrating to watch. getting outrebounded by 7 by a small houston team, and letting them shoot 50% from 3 and 53% overall?? yikes!

Sure could have used Tony Allen in this game. :-\  He always makes something happen with his defense.  And we sure needed some perimeter defense last night.
