I vaguely remember somebody suggesting that Mark Sanchez might be the best QB in the league. What happened there?
If he were to win the Super Bowl by outplaying all other QBs.
Scott Pilgrim style?
Is it just me, or was this a really weak year for the NFL?
The Patriots were a deeply flawed team but they managed 14 wins. The Jets, also deeply flawed, ran over them to get to the AFC Championship...again. The Bears made it to the NFC Championship game by beating a team that had lost more games than it had won. The Packers, a 10 win team in the regular season, is mowing down opponents while hardly breaking a sweat. In the AFC, the Steelers are simply the last decent team standing.
Compared to last year, when the Saints and the Colts were clearly the two best teams in the NFL and seemed destined to face each other in the Super Bowl ever since midway through the season, this year there was no clear "great" team. Every team was quite flawed. There hasn't been a really good game in the playoffs yet.
This is coming from a Pats fan, but all around this season was pretty boring and disappointing..
