Use this as the game thread for the 2010 NFL Playoffs (although if anybody wants to start a thread for the Pats, or separate game threads, they of course can).

So far, the Seahawks have put up more of a fight than I was expecting.  Good game to this point.  Despite being a Bears fan, I think the Saints are the best team in the NFC, so it would really shake things up if there was an upset here.

to be honest I hope Seattle does upset the Saints just so people will pipe down about this whole 7-9 record issue.

Then, folks will just say "they shouldn't have gotten a home game, and the outcome would have been different if they hadn't".

Seattle definitely showed up to play in the first half.

well yeah i do agree the home field aspect of it is kind of bogus.  if you ask me, the NFL should keep their current system as far as making the playoffs go, but then once the playoff teams are set, they should be re-ranked according to their regular season record.

but as far as having no business in the playoffs, beating the saints should quiet a lot of people.  this is the reason we have divisions instead of just one big conference.  each team that people have complained about for missing the playoffs had opportunities to win their divisions.

just my opinion.

What an amazing run by Lynch.  There were about 6 guys who had their arms on him, but couldn't bring him down.

And that's game..Seahawks win 41-36. What a great game, that Lynch TD run was awesome.

Now onto Jets/Colts! Don't know who to root for in this one..

edit: Silly me, Celts game will be on so much of my time will be spent watching that instead of Jets/Colts.

That was a great game.  Gotta feel good for Seahawks fans today.  No one gave them a chance and they just knocked off the defending champs.  Lynch... wow.

The Seahawks definitely showed up today. The NFC is up for grabs right now. I could see any team making it to the Superbowl. Who do you guys see making it out of the NFC? Atlanta did great in the regular season, but I don't see them winning the conference. I think we'll be seeing a Packers/Patriots super bowl this year. '96 rematch.

Have to think the Falcons are gonna make the Superbowl at this point.

I would be so stoked if the Seahawks somehow managed to make it to a matchup with the Falcons.  Two BC quarterbacks in one game!

This is why favorites should never listen to the media.

All week was talk that Seattle didn't belong.

All week was talk of blow out.

That would happen if the Eagles beat the Packers tomorrow. That would match-up the Seahawks with the Falcons.

Go, Bears!  I think they can beat anybody left in the NFC at this point.  Of course, they can lose to any of those teams, too.

Sanchez blows!

Sure does. He's constantly over-throwing his receivers.
