Is Harangody better than Scal?

Harangody now vs Scal when he was here...

Rebounding:  Edge Harangody
Offensively:  Tie
Defensively:  Edge Scal

Let's not overblow what Harangody is doing to an awful team.  Luke making open jumpers has been far from a guarantee this season, but its nice to see him make a few. 

Scal could shoot the three and knew where to set himself to best spread the floor.  He also was a minimal risk to turn the ball over.

Defensively Scal was underrated, as much as it kind of pains me to say it.  He did a good job of guarding the tall but rather quick guys that can give a lot of teams trouble.

Scal was a very smart versatile vet. But now he's a year older.   I'm leaning toward Scal.

Yes.  I think Harangody is better than Scal right now.  Much better offensively.  Better rebounder.  Soundly blocks out his man.  Has a nose for the ball, as they say.

Scal had some very nice defensive possessions over the years, but he could never have done what Harangody did tonight, and certainly not this year.

Scal could guard bigger guys though, and filled in admirably sometimes.  Still, I'd take Harangody over him.

Scal's such a huge negative on the boards and so impotent offensively that Gody's probably got the slight edge.  Scal's the vastly superior defender though.

Scal is better on D, Luke is better at everything else. And Luke's D is not paltry -- Scal's is just very good. Remember when he held Amare Stoudemire to 2 points?? It was crazy... great footwork.
