Memphis-style BBQ pork ribs or pulled pork sandwiches, if ribs are not available.

If anyone knows of a Boston-area place that serves Memphis BBQ, I will love you forever.

I know Fireflys has a Memphis sauce they use.  I personally haven't had that sauce on any of their BBQ.  But they have three locations around Boston, if you want to check them out.

Also Rick's Roadhouse in Providence I think is pretty good. They don't have Memphis style though.

Middle Eastern (Lebanese to be specific) and Mexican. I like Moroccan food too.

I can't believe I just saw this thread... Considering my family is from Lebanon, I eat Lebanese food on a daily basis, so I'm not sure if it's considered ethnic to me. Both of my parents were born there and my mom grew up there. Lebanese food doesn't get more authentic than that.

If I had to pick another ethnic food, I'd say Italian.

Here's a question though. What is the diff between Lebanese, Jordanian, an Syrian?  It's like the difference between West Virginia, Kentucky, and Ohio

I honestly don't believe there is much of a difference. Most Middle Eastern resturaunts here in the states are labled as "Middle Easter Cousine," but a lot of the time they are also labled "Lebanese Cousine." The obvious reason for this is because the owner is Lebanese. In my opinion and from experiences, most Middle Eastern resturaunts are owned by Lebanese people. This is going to sound like a stereotype to my own people, but Lebanese people don't like working FOR someone else. They like owning their own businesses. That's why you see of local Lebanese owned resturaunts, jewelers, and gas stations. Again this is just my opinion, but that is why I believe a lot of Middle Eastern resturaunts are labled as "Lebanese." Of course there is a difference in how certain dishes may be made, but most of the meals are going to be the same as the other surrounding countries.

Ethnic-wise I go with Mexican, Italian is a close close by the nose second. Both are tough however because I cant eat dairy products. Most Italian dishes are mixed, filled with, or covered in cheese. At least with the Mexican dishes its easier to hold the cheese and sour cream.

Redbones in Davis Square is awesome though some of my Southern friends think it's nowhere near real BBQ. They have Memphis style dry rub ribs. The beer selection takes the cake.

Blue Ribbon in Newton is also very good, their brisket and pulled pork is divine.

I love most ethnic foods, the whole list is full of favorites. But my #1 is not there - Jamaican food!

Jerk chicken, Coconut rice and beans with scotch bonnet peppers, Callaloo, Patties, Dragon Stout, Hibiscus tea, and the list goes on.

Best served on location  8)

Sounds like me. I love hummus, home made hummus to be more precise. I'm not really a big fan of most resturaunts and packaged stuff sold in grocery stores.

Has anyone ever seen the Zohan movie with Adam Sandler? I thought the ongoing hummus joke was absolutely hilarious.

One of the most surprisingly hilarious movies I've ever seen. 100X funnier than I expected.
