Dana Barros is a good one.

Guys like him and Kerr and all these old dudes who shot over 40% from 3, I wonder how they would go today with the much improved perimeter defense.

I feel like Reggie Miller was the first person to get PROPERLY watched above the line.

How can this list not have Kevin McHale on it?

Kevin McHale achieved a rare shooting milestone by becoming the first player in NBA history to shoot at least 60% from the field and 80% from the free-throw line in a single regular season

I think "shooter" means jump shooter in most people's heads.  Though McHale did show more and more of that later in his career, he was pretty much a low post shooter supreme.  God, he would probably have 200 3's a year in this era.
Yup

Shooting is shooting, as I see it.  Some of his shots were dunks but a lot of his shooting was based off moves.  He did shoot the three at a decent percentage and his final year is terrible because of injuires

Cowens is in the list, and he did not shoot threes.  So while, I think your point is a good one about perception of shooters.  The OP did not take that into account as Cowens never shot a three.  I love Cowens so not knocking on him.

To clarify, by shooting, I meant outside shooting. Thus no McHale (he's of course on my all post-up team). Also to qualify for my teams, players must have a ring.
