Let's use this time to generate positive energy.

Positive energy's a waste of time. If KG's severely injured, no amount of positive energy is going to change that.
There are two kinds of people: those who say to God, 'Thy will be done,' and those to whom God says, 'All right, then, have it your way.'

You don't have a soul. You are a Soul. You have a body.

again....IF boston was healthy they could handle him being out for some time....but you throw this on top of west, rondo, perk, JO and erden....then boston has too many issues injury wise

JO is back, Rondo may be back next game, and Perk and DWest will be back in a few weeks.

X-rays are meaningless when it comes to knees

JO will not give this team ANYTHING...KG is the heart of this team....esp on defense

Dern, i hope KG is only a mild sprain or something...calf cramp.....1 or 2 weeks max...PLEEEAAASSSEEE...!!!

Heck, I'll take 6 weeks, like the JO knee injury.  I just don't want this season to be scuttled.
This team can easily weather a short or medium term (2-3 months) injury to KG.

yes...but not without west, rondo, perk and erden..plus a JO that gives them NOTHING. playing for the 4 seed....
Rajon Rondo will be back soon enough.

The Celtics can play with a big man rotation of Shaq, JO, BBD and Erden. Harangody with spot minutes. That is still a team capable of playing at 50 win pace.

Perk could be back sometime in the next month or so to help out too.

---------------------------------------------------

Anyway, the playoff seeding doesn't matter much. A team with this much experience and talent will have no problems winning playoff series' on the road.

A fourth seed will do the Celtics fine. I wouldn't be at all concerned about that.

i disagree....KG is the guy that makes everyone better. he is the difference. without him they have no compass and will like a lot like 2 years ago. IF he is done for the rest of the season...they boston doesn't get out of the east.
Sure, sure. I agree completely. No KG ... no way Boston gets out of the East.

I was thinking about KG missing most of the remainder of the regular season but coming back in time or shortly before the playoffs. I wouldn't be worried about the Celtics having a lower playoff seed in that scenario.

saw this up: http://www.rotoinfo.com/comments-latestfromTwitter-58315.html. Says Celtics officials say its not the knee, as X-rays are negative. I know MRIs are also used for ACL tears, but you SHOULD be able to see it via x-rays, right? If so...this is great news.

  • Rondo = Good
We'll lose tonight, but probably win the next one...for the next few months, we should all get used to win-one-lose-one.  Just like last year.  Sigh.

true...but after 2 years ago...i am gun shy in thinking he will return...esp if they put a 10-12 week label on it

Let's all be honest though. No healthy kg means no shot at a championship

(1) KG out for season -- title dreams over

(2) KG major injury, returns late in season hobbled, playing similar to last season -- title dreams hurt but the team is still able to win a title with that KG. They have significant reinforcements vs last year's squad and they'd still very much have a chance at a title.

(3) Minor injury, no change at all (here's hoping!).

Where is Semih? Ever since Doc took him out of the lineup Celtics haven't looked the same. JO is worthless and brings bad karma.
