When the C's are healthy, Daniels is the 9th man on this team behind Shaq/JO/Nate. You can do a lot worse than that.

C's have to upgrade. He doesn't cut especially not for a contender. He is severely undersized @ the 3. Has very limited range. When he is on the floor, he handicaps the team offensively. Marquis is also a terrible rebounder, and brings Zero intangibles. He is a decent 2nd wing off the bench, not the 1st

Here is a list of his direct competition:

Miami:           Mike Miller>Marquis Daniels
Los Angeles:     Matt Barnes>Marquis Daniels
Orlando:         Mickael Pietrus>Marquis Daniels
Dallas:          Shawn Marion>Marquis Daniels
Chicago:         Ronnie Brewer>Marquis Daneils

Extreme Scenario: Pierce suspended for a Game. Do you trust Marquis Daniels to preform?
out of that bunch, I'd still take Quisy.

Miller's hurt, Barnes doesn't have the offensive skills, Pietrus doesn't have the offensive skills but I could live with him instead of Quisy, Marion isn't the player he once was and can't play SG and Ronnie Brewer isn't as good on either end of the floor.

Quisy's effectiveness depends on getting the ball where he can do something with it.  most of the time, Nate hasn't been doing that.

I totally disagree with the OP, who conveniently omits Daniels' defense. Not a Posey 2008, but close enough.

I like Daniels fit into the skillset of this bench, and I have no particular issue with him. Scoring is the least of my concerns from him.

I agree.  With Nate and Delonte in the backcourt, we really don't need more scoring from our back-up guards.  Quis' defensive versatility, capability as a press release ball-handler and intelligent, mostly mistake-free play on offense are a nice fit.

I know you won't agree, but I still would prefer TA in that role though.  His defense is more impactful and he's a much better rebounder/hustle guy.  His offensive ineptitude would also be much more understated with Nate and Delonte on the floor.

2025 Draft: Chicago Bulls

PG: Chauncey Billups/Deron Williams
SG: Kobe Bryant/Eric Gordon
SF: Jimmy Butler/Danny Granger/Danilo Gallinari
PF: Al Horford/Zion Williamson
C: Yao Ming/Pau Gasol/Tyson Chandler

Agreed and evidenced by last night I don't think it's injuries as much as lack of focus from time to time.  Marquis took this thread to heart last night and played his best game of the year...

I don't know who started this thread and the negative things written about Marquis, but i have to say Marquis is a key player for this team. We need him healthy and around for #18.  I like his game.  He does a LOT of things out there.

Hmm. I think BBD will get more PF minutes than Perk/JO/Shaq, meaning they are mostly splitting minutes at the 5. BBD is currently our 6th man and I don't know how much that changes if we are ever healthy. Baby will likely be on the floor any time KG isn't, and we don't like to give KG excessive minutes.

I am fine with Daniels flying under the radar. You can't have a successful team without having system guys who let the guys who want the ball do their thing.

On the other hand, I am far from sold that he can hit that corner 3 regularly. It looked good against the Bobcats, but he hasn't looked good on those throughout the season. He needs to master that shot.
