I worry about Marquis' fragility. Apparently he's had a hurt thumb the last couple of games, and he looks totally different. He doesn't seem to be able to play through stuff the way alot of stouter players can.
If he can stay relatively healthy, though, and be healthy and in a flow when it matters, then I really like his game. It's not predicated on ferocious dunks, explosive drives and the kind of pit-bull style that we got out of Tony Allen. Marquis' game is smooth and cerebral, full of nice cuts, sweet head fakes and improbable floaters. On D he has quick hands and knows how to use that feel for the game that he shows on offense to get in passing lanes and get deflections. He can fight through picks and defend one on one well enough to get time against good players from the 1 to the 3.
Stay healthy Marquis. I like your game.
