I wonder if Phily might consider letting go of Thaddeus Young later in the year + how much they'd be asking for in return.
I think its very unlikely. I think he is a guy they want to build around, along with Turner and Holliday.
The guys I see as prime targets for mid-season trades would be:
Battier - If some of the younger wings step up, or the team falls apart a bit, they could move him in a deal that brings back Perk. Since this may be Yao's last year with them (or in the league), they may be looking for his replacement, and the hometown (kind of) boy could be a target for them.
JR Smith - It is tough to guess his value, since he is so talented, but so erratic, and on a reasonable contract. But if he keeps clashing with coaches, he could be a realistic target.
Marvin Williams - Again, he would likely cost the C's Perk, but it could be an intersting trade for both teams, if it looks like the C's are not going to be able to resign Perk to a reasonable deal, and he comes back healthy.
Nocioni - Let's be clear about one thing...they are not giving up one of their talented young guys just to get him off the books. He just has one more guaranteed year after this, and it may be wiped out by the lockout anyways. But the C's could certainly get him for spare parts if they wanted him... and if they did include someone like Perk, there is a possibility they could throw in one of their lesser prospects.
