I thought he was mocking the post by Nick who is clearly upset by a decision.  I may be wrong.  I just dont think it helps the situation or adds anything

I took it to mean we were getting a little too serious about a game, and to kind of be playfully mocking everyone involved..me, you, action, and nick. I thought it was well said.

You guys are hilarious.  You really think "defending" teams is gonna make any kind of difference in the voting?  People are gonna like what they like no matter what.  And we already know everyone's opinions from the regular season voting.  I'd be very surprised if a top 2 seed didn't win.

Regardless, I'm on Nick's side for this.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

I don't think that's true. For instance, my team is the #1 seed, but I bet I was most frequently ranked as a #3.

That means that the people ranking the teams believed there were 3, maybe even 4 teams better than me (assuming they thought their own team was better too).

This is your first year doing this, right? Wait til the debates. I think you'll change your mind.

We'll see.  I certainly hope people take a different approach to playoff voting.  The Clippers might have struggled in the regular season, but they're built for the playoffs.

Just trying to remind people, Rondo, that:

Too often people get caught up in these things and forget they're for fun. Sometimes people take them a little too seriously and that's when I remind people:

When I play a game, I come to compete no matter the game. As long as there a clear set of rules and they are enforced, I just play but I play hard. I will not apologize for that nor will I ever change that.

But when rules become "interpretive" and enforced without consistency, yeah, you can bet I'm going to open my mouth and say something. And that's just not in games, it's in life in general. All one has to do is go into my history and read through my posts to see that.

And when I am wrong about something, I will come back and say so.

So just a game, yeah. But I am not going to feel bad for voicing my opinion when I feel that rules that aren't even in place are suddenly whipped out and enforced and it is to the detriment of my team. I come to compete and, again, I will not apologize for that.

But also know this, I know this is just a game and in the end will have absolutely zero hard feelings towards any person that competed or ruled over this game. Faf is a good guy and after the game I hope to continue to have the same relationship I did with him than before the game. That goes for Roy and every single GM in this game. Everyone associated with this game are quality individuals and like everyone one of you. The game is over, shake hands, no hard feelings it was all just competition and it's done.

You know what would be cool though, a CB Draft break up party for those in the Boston area. Pick a place in a central area and get together for dinner and drinks and shooting the you know what.

I know a place like the Kowloon in Saugus could put us up easily.

I really enjoy the draft, but I'm not driving the 7-8 hours or so it would take to make that happen. Count me out, sorry.

I think one of the other things that people need to consider is whether their complaining about rules, their enforcement, etc., benefits the game as a whole, or the other GMs.  When games cease to be fun, they have a way of disappearing.

I also think that people who tend to complain about the rules and who act like the system is against them are the ones who lose the benefit of the doubt in subjective exercises, especially ones that involve voting.  The squeaky wheel might get the grease, but I'm not sure that it gets the votes.

That's not breaking news anymore KC. That's just a given fact of life. It's sort of like the sun will always rise in the east, dogs will always bark, ice will always float in water floats and LeBron will always choke in the playoffs.
