  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
I've actually made a specific forum account for voting Roy.

CB Draft Voting
Feel free to vote between now and Friday at 6:00. DO NOT SEND VOTES TO MY FAFNIR ACCOUNT, I will just delete them. You may not vote for your own team so just exclude them, and you are also required to vote for both conferences if you vote.

Voting is open to all Celticsblog members. GM teams may only vote once, I will be counting the first ballot I receive from each GM team.

Send them to CB Draft Voting.

Other guidelines:

* Ballots should be by Conference, ranked 1 through 15.

* The first three slots on a ballot do *not* need to be reserved for the three division winners; if you think the two best teams are in the same division, rank them 1st and second.

* GMs may *not* vote for their own team.  If a GM is participating in ranking of his own conference, his ballot should be ranked 1 through 14.  There should be no blank spots on the ballot, etc.; rankings should take place as if the GM's team did not exist.

* For teams with Co-GMs, only one ballot per team can be submitted.  If both co-GMs submit ballots, the first GM to have submitted a ballot will have his vote counted.

* The tie-breaker procedure is described in the CB Draft rules.

* The Commish may reject any ballot for any reason.  Incomplete ballots (that do not rank all teams) will not be counted.

* Seeding for playoff matchups will follow current NBA rules.  Home court advantage will be determined by playoff seed.

Just bumping this. Composing my rankings now, when I'm done I will post them and offer any explanations people would like.

I haven't even finished putting together the east, nevermind, starting to construct the west.  Been at it for awhile now too.  :P

I didn't have much problem with the East ... but the West is a pain.

Too many teams of comparable ability. Putting them in some type of order is proving very difficult.

I'm not going to give my full rankings, but here's where I had the division winners:

1. Phoenix (since I couldn't vote for Sacramento)
2. Utah
3. Non-division winner
4. Houston

1. Milwaukee
2. Atlanta
3. Non-division winner
4. Toronto

I think I'm higher on Atlanta and Toronto than almost everybody else, and despite Lucky not thinking he'd win the division, I still have faith in his team.

I think there's one team that I think I really short-changed in my voting, and I feel bad about that.  It was a "gut feeling vs. logic" thing, I guess.  There was another team that many seem to be enamored with, who I had falling outside of the playoffs.

Also, I had all four of the remaining Pacific teams (outside of Sacramento) in my top-nine.

I have five teams from the Pacific and two teams from the other two divisions in the West in my playoff picture. Since I cannot vote for my own team, that gives me my eight playoff seeds.

Outside of Utah being in top spot though ... I have no idea what order I'll be putting those teams in.

I've serious problems with Tornoto's depth, and I have to penalize them for having a roster of 11 which includes a player who is out until February, a player thats suspeneded for 10 games, and 2 againg superstars. Saying "we'll pick someone up as the season goes on" goes directly against the point of this excercise.

So no one liked the idea of linking the pressers?  It would make voting a heck of a lot easier, especially for people not involved.  I know I've had trouble this entire time knowing what most teams look like.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

Oh, I absolutely agree, we dropped the ball in not filling up the roster (mostly due to confusion and lack of communication and busy schedules and all that happy stuff).  I'm just saying, if it was a real life situation, we would have no trouble filling up that roster after the season started.  But yeh, for the purpose of our Fantasy World League we should have gotten it together and filled out the stupid roster.
Yup

Both Fafnir and I are pretty busy today and tomorrow; if somebody else wants to start a thread doing that, they certainly can.

Yeah sorry I have two meetings to get ready for tomorrow. Much less time to be on CB at work than usual. Then I'm hosting a NFL kickoff party so no real time tonight either.  :-\

stupid RL.
