If I can still pick, the Mavs select Charlie Villanueva.

So, it's now:

PG: Andre Miller
SG: Stephen Jackson
SF: Trevor Ariza
PF: Charlie Villanueva
C:  Tim Duncan

Correct?

Yes sir

I think Villanueva fits perfectly with the 4 I had. Needed somebody to spread the floor when Duncan passes out of the post

Not bad. With the exception of Miller, your starting five are all long and rangy for their positions. Could be some matchup problems for your opponents.

Villanueva is a bit of an enigma. GC and I had him as our starting PF last year, and caught a lot of flak for it, IIRC. You'll need to address his lack of focus/intensity on defense.

Maybe SJax will get on him. He's the (the only?) dominant personality in the lineup.

Yeah, I think it'll work fine.

By the way Andre Miller is on the trading block in case anyone is interested

With the 28th pick in the 5th round, Indiana Pacers select Derek Fisher.

Might have been a little early value-wise and he's aging, but Indiana loves the backcourt trio of Fisher/Kobe/Pietrus for this upcoming season.  Fisher is still a steady hand who can play solid defense, run a smooth offense, give tremendous veteran leadership, and hit a big shot (unfortunately).  Love having either Kaman or Chandler at C and are looking to move one of those centers for a PF.  Draft picks are in play also.

Why we should be stating the pick # with every draft pick when possible
