I haven't seen Pryzbilla play much, how's his game? From his stats, his offense looks worse than Perk's.

That's pretty much the case.  He's a solid defender and a good rebounder though.  As your back up C?  That's good.  With all our bigs healthy and him on the team you could also run the better offensive lineup of Jermaine at C and KG at PF like we ran with Sheed if need be.

thanks for the info, that's what I was picturing. If he's healthy, I would consider giving up 2 first round picks for him and Rudy.

Cho is talking to other GMs about PGs depending which deal comes about for Rudy and Przybilla.

Right now the Blazers feel Rudy and Przybilla are worth two 1st round picks if they don't get back a key bench player. Before Joel was hurt he was considered a top 20-25 center in the NBA.

Here are the rumored scenarios from the "Blazers ask" I can figure out from the info:

Boston - assuming if Boston is willing to give up two 1st round picks
$8.7M - Rudy Fernandez & Joel Przybilla to Boston
$8.6M - Jerryd Bayless, Rasheed Wallace and Boston's 2011 1st round pick
$8.6M - Darren Collison, James Posey, Tony Gaffney & Boston 2013 1st round pick

New York - assuming NY is willing to give up Anthony Randolph
$8.7M - Rudy Fernandez & Joel Przybilla to NY Knicks
$7.1M - Jerryd Bayless, Dante Cunningham, Ronnie Turiaf & *$3M to New Orleans
$9.8M - Darren Collison, Anthony Randolph & James Posey to Portland
*$3M is supposed to help subsidize Turiaf's salary.

Personally as a Blazer fan I would hope for a New York deal of Randolph, which is unlikely.

http://www.clubblazers.com/blazers-discussion/rumor-portland-working-trade-today-t3494-45.html

Again, I know nothing about this guy.

I bought the first rumor at least a little, but this just turned into a trade machine rumor IMO.  He sounds like Portland's version of MatthewDHume.

All I can tell you is Blazers fans from 2 forums stand by this guy. What does it mean? Who knows? He has said all along that Portland would be moving Sheed for a young PG. Always a 3 team deal.

Wonder if they're trying to get Avery Bradley involved in this offer.

I am assuming this is a 3-way deal including the Hornets. It also is a daylight robbery for the Blazers, since Collison is the best player in this deal by a long shot.

IMO why not just go straight up.

Rudy + 2011 2nd round for

Avery Bradley, Tony Gaffney, 2011 1st Round Pick.

Rudy is still young and can be a part of the core that will be led by Rajon Rondo.

I hate doing this for Avery as I know he can be a great player given the minutes but I really believe he's just gonna be there sitting in the bench while waiting for either Ray and his backup to be sore from injuries. SO why not trade him. Gaffney and the pick will be the kicker for Portland to agree.

I know that adding a 1st round pick is probably too much but the Celtics with this lineup are slated for atleast 2 more years. By that time the C's wont probably be playing their 1st round pick in 2011 so why not just give to Portland for a solid wing who, in probably 2 years might replace a maybe retiring, will not be signed or moving to a backup role Ray Allen.

I really believe Rudy is worth the gamble. He's an offensive beast inside and out and I believe he'll learn to adapt to Boston's defensive mindset once he comes in.

Avery Bradley goes to Portland, which now can probably shop Jerryd Bayless and another player for expiring contracts or more picks in the future.

my two cents.

not a bad idea, but it sounds like the blazers want to ship Pryzbilla out with Rudy in whatever trade they make, so we would need to give up Sheed's deal, which then would be reason to keep Bradley unless they give us something extra

I think yah they wanted to ship Vanilla Gorilla but he's a little too fragile for the Celtics and Sheed's contract would probably can be used for something else like S&T for Shaq. Pryzbilla's contract is expiring anyway so they can probably ship it somewhere else.

2 #1s for Rudy seems insane. I know, he's been in a bad system for him, but still, his body of work simply isn't all that good. If Joel was healthy, I'd say Sheed and a #1 for Rudy and JP seems fair, but we're not even sure when JP will actually be ready to play - and, there's another #1 pick. We should wait...this is simply too much to offer for a potentially (with potential being the key word) decent backup wing and a backup center (when healthy).

Two first rounders? Not a chance, IMO.

Why would Boston pony up two firsts if no one else is?

And why would anyone else pony up two firsts to begin with?

100% hypothetical:

A. Bradley, Sheed, 2 firsts and filler for

Oden & Fernandez?

I would be all over that trade. It's a little risky to start the year so short-manned up front, but Przybilla is insurance in case Perkins just doesn't pull it together until much later, and if Perkins does, then Przybilla is a good expiring contract for the trade deadline, able to bring back something in the $8 million range.
Go Celtics.

I'm seeing a lot of ideas involving trading Avery Bradley.

People, he isn't going anywhere. You might not be thrilled with the selection but Danny Ainge was and most draft experts think the Celtics had one of the better drafts in the league given where they were drafting. Bradley is here until he proves he shouldn't be.

Heck, JR Giddens was given almost two full years to prove he was pathetic before being shipped off. Bradley isn't going to be traded before even being able to get out on a court against fellow Celtics to show the coaching staff what he has.

if you substitute oden for JP, then the trade makes more sense...if for no other reason than i think oden might actually be physically ready to start the season (and might be a good bet to be injured 5 minutes into the season). of course i see no chance portland parts with oden until after this season. one more injury-ladden season, and i think they give up on him.

Ok let's be serious here, Greg Oden was the #1 overall pick 3 years ago, he isn't getting thrown into any deal as a "filler" unless it's for CP3, he still has a tremendous amount of value which is why you're yet to hear Portland is shopping him... So cut the Oden talk out that's just a dream..

Exactly. I don't know why Oden's name keeps popping up.

Unless Chris Wallace leaves Memphis for Portland, we ain't gettin' no Oden.

Now that the Celtics signed Wafer, does that mean no Rudy?
