AND THEY MISSED THE FG!

I hope people stayed up for this!
I stayed up to watch this.  Now if you'll excuse me I have a week to research the proper way to commit harai kari or whatever the Japanese word for "Way too unhappy and humiliated to face to world..life just doesn't seem fair...you'll never get what you want anyway...you shot your mouth off for a year and that was pretty much your best shot...you don't feel the love with TCU"

Looks like it's Oklahoma next week.  The OKST defense totally broke down on those last two drives.

Amazing game ... this has been quite a weekend for college ball, some of the most exciting games I've ever seen. Love it.

New BCS Standings

1. Auburn
2. Oregon
3. TCU
4. Stanford
5. Wisconsin

Its all but certain that it'll take either an Auburn loss in the SEC Championship Game next week or an Oregon loss in the Civil War to get TCU into the national title game.

I will say, though, a TCU-Wisconsin Rose Bowl would be one heckuva game.

Only a non BCS team like Boise St could fall from # 3 to #11 in the BCS rankings for losing to #19 in overtime, and only a non-BCS team like Nevada could move up a pitiful two places after beating #3 and only having one loss.

These rankings are such a farce

Eh Nebraska had a similar 7 spot drop after losing to Texas A&M in a 3 point game as well. Ok St. dropped 5 slots after losing to OK.

Such drops are not uncommon.

Is this uncommon? Nevada has one loss. They just beat #3 who had won like 24 games in a row. They are ranked (in the AP) behind 5 2 loss teams including Virginia Tech. VT lost to Boise St (who Nevada just beat) and James Madison U.  If Boise St or Nevada loses to James Madison next week I wonder what would happen to them.

In the USA today poll Nevada is ranked behind 3 loss South Carolina. One of those losses was to mighty Kentucky.  Is it uncommon to have a one loss team ranked below a 3 loss team with losses to weak teams? Or is just the fact that Kentucky is in the SEC make it ok or something?

Bowl picture will be settled after all is said & done today.

Games I'm looking forward to most:

Auburn v. South Carolina-  Its simple enough.  If Auburn wins, they're in the national title game.  If they lose, the door opens up for non-BCS squad TCU.  I have a feeling quite a few people will become Gamecock fans today.

Oregon v. Oregon St.- Oregon wins, they're in.  The Beavers haven't exactly been world beaters this year but it is the Civil War and the game is in Corvallis.

Oklahoma v. Nebraska- An old school Big 8 rivalry game.  Huskers last game as a member of the Big 12.  Should be a fun one to watch.

Ditto. A ton of big games today, and exciting match-ups, but these three should be the best. My favorite team to watch this year is Oregon ... just so explosive and powerful ... can't wait!

The more & more I look at this South Carolina/Auburn matchup, I think there is a real potential for an upset here.

I think the Gamecock will be able to put up some points here.  The real question will be whether or not they'll be able to stop Newton and the Tiger offense.

Wouldn't be shocked if it happened.
