Mike Miller - Might be over MLE. Several other teams after him also. If we could add him too that would be cool.

Wondering why we couldn't give Mike Miller something like 3/$25 as part of a S&T, whatever the max we could do using 'Sheed's contract. Send them $3M cash to buy out 'Sheed (and maybe keep a couple dollars themselves) and maybe a conditional draft pick. Pretty sure Washington has enough cap space to do something like that.

At least he knows he sucks offensively and doesn't try to play outside of his skill level.Well if LeBron does go to Miami I wonder if that'll change our backup big man equation. They'll be selling their team hard to any big men in a position to take the veteran's minimum.

QuoteIf the Celtics sign Jermaine O'Neal, I predict there will be at least a couple of playoff games where he's going to be on the floor at the end of the fourth quarter in a competitive game instead of Kendrick Perkins.O'Neal is in many ways an ideal fit for the team, a legitimate NBA starting center who can move to a bench role backing up both the 4 and 5 positions when Perkins comes back. The main drawback to JO'N isn't his ability or concern that it might take all of the MLE to sign him. The main concern is, and should be, his durability.Really, we should be comparing Jermaine O'Neal to the other options. Brad Miller for maybe half or 2/3 of the MLE. A low budget collection of Kwame Brown and the summer league seven-footers. Hoping Erick Dampier gets traded and cut for salary cap purposes. Hoping that Miami gets LeBron and is forced to renounce Udonis Haslem.I get the sense that some people on this board will regard any signing as a failure if it doesn't bring in an All-Star level player or a young player with the potential of a future All-Star. Those would be the same people who break down and cry when they find out that Tommy points can't be redeemed to buy ponies.WHAT??!!

I'm not sure JO is goiong back for the vet min, but Kwame would certainly have to consider it. Ditto for Kurt Thomas.
And since JO is only 31 it's not out of the question of him averaging 15 or 16 points playing with Rondo & Ticket setting him up for good looks by penitrating and ball movement. He still has 15pt 7rb 1.5blk potential in my opinion Â

No you can't it's in the cba.. Teams sign and trade because they don't have enough cap room to sign the player so why would the bring on extra cap room from another player? All you can send is a draft pick

When you sign and trade you can't include another contract.Â
What about a sign and trade. With Lebron apparently ready to join Miami, ESPN was saying that Miami is really trying to dump Beasley's contract.Sign and trade Jermaine O'Neal and Beasley for Sheed, Harangody and a future pick. Keep the MLE.
JO's an OLD 31... his body's got a lot of wear and tear on it.
